I'd say it'll run at about 30%

but future updates will heavily focus on this game so it won't take that long before it runs smooth.

On 1.7.2 it will boot but with drastic FPS drops, then, an update will come (1.7.3?) and it will be fixed "somehow". WW runs at 30 stable fps.

A question in my mind for the distant future: Will it be possible that the game runs smoother on the emulator as it does on the actual console one day? I know that for Wii you can make a game look much better but even there making a game run better than on the actual console is difficult/not possible right? EDIT: Or maybe we even have a better chance here because there is no need to take any motion controls into account??

This is really more a question to the devs or capable people who understand emulation more than I do I guess, but maybe someone knowledgeable reads this by any chance? :D

I will be willing to help out in any way shape or form in the process. Seeing more of this game the last days made me realize what kind of piece of art we might be having on our hands soon.

I'm gonna say it's likely, but that the question should not be if, but rather when. Hypothetically, it should be similar to any other emulator - f you've got a stable-enough emulator on a beefy-enough system, you can run it smooth as silk. Take a look at Dolphin. Some games have 60fps patches and such. As long as BotW physics aren't tied to framerate, I don't see it being a problem.

Thanks! I saw their patreon a few hours after I wrote my post as well, looks good! Definitely glad that they got so many patreons already and most likely they soon have one more!

I used Dolphin quite a bit, that's exactly where my "concerns" of if it is at all possible come from. I do not know that much about emulation but I do have a programming background. From what I understand is that the Wii U CPU itself gets emulated and thus, it might not be possible to properly "overclock" that cpu so a game on the emulator runs more smooth than the game on the actual console?
