I'm planning on using some of the event "buildings" like the event standees, but I have a few questions about them. First of all: does the game still see them as a pwp and will they add up to the pwp limit? And what would happen if you have one of the event buildings in your town on the day the event's being held. So having two of Franklin's cooking stations during the harvest festival for example. Will one of them disappear or will this affect the event negatively?

It sounds like it's coming up with your previous garden_plus file because you didn't dump the latest one properly or something went wrong. If you still have your game in a "current" state as you want it, extract the save using jksm. If you don't have a valid save, u will have to resort to using that old save sadly.
Thanks for replying. I can assure that I have been dumping the previous garden_plus file, though I'm not sure what you mean by extracting the save using jksm? Sorry if this seems obvious, I would really appreciate it if you could explain it to me.

I assume you are using JKSM to dump/extract your save file? If not, what are you using?
Here's a link to it if you need it. https://github.com/J-D-K/JKSM/releases (download the zip) I highly recommend using jksm as opposed to other save management apps. The JKSV folder goes on the root of your sd and you install the cia with fbi. If you can't install cia and are using homebrew, put the contents of the included 3ds folder into the 3ds folder on your sd and run jksm from the homebrew menu. Then you simply choose where the game is located (cart or sd), name the save folder and extract it. Then when done editing, you do the same think except using the inject option. Your extracted saves will be located in the jksv folder on the root of your sd.

Not totally sure, but I dont think it counts toward the pwp limit. Also, the event should run as normal, as long as you dont place that "building" near the town tree where events take place.

Thank you so much! I got it to work, you're a life saver.

I have been importing my saves when I've finished editing. My problem is that the save that I'm importing is an old save so it leads to my game getting restarted to the old save. I don't know how to update it so I can edit the map of my latest save.
Are you using savedata_manager? Have you deleted all files that do not belong to ACNL in saveDataBackup?

Also: Would it be possible to add the log benches and fire pit from the campground to the save editor. I like how the fire pit has different interactions and reacts differently to weather circumstances etc. I especially like the vertical log bench from the campground, but the horizontal is nice too, because you can sit on it facing different directions, unlike the pwp version. I hope I haven't been too much of an annoyance, but I've only just discovered this thread and have so many things on my mind.

Guess I'll find out the next couple days. Was hoping to see two different icons or something since one of them was bought after the Welcome Amiibo update came out.
Just dont feel like deleting or changing my old world ^-^
But thanks! X3
From what I heard the Welcome Amiibo version of the game that just came out (not the original game updated) has a different icon. Someone posted a screenshot.

Is it time to switch definitively to JKSM? Does it work for everyone in HB mode?
I remember some time ago a few users reported it wasn't working or it was deleting their savegames. But it was during the Welcome amiibo drama, so...

I would like to know if it's safe to remove both svdt and savedata_manager from the tutorial and use only JKSM, which is an obviously best option.

I've only ever used JKSM (I did use svdt and save_manager at one point in time, but ultimately switched to JKSM) with this editor and many other editors. I haven't once had an issue with a corrupted save file nor a lost save file. I'd remove them, imo.

I still use svdt to dump and inject my files, it works perfectly fine for me.

JKSM is pretty much the agreed upon best save data management tool. I have never had any problems with it and I use it quite frequently. I think it's best to have one recommended app to limit confusion and also easier to troubleshoot when ppl have issues. Even though ppl will claim they all do the same thing and that may be true, but it seems that some ppl have issues with other save data management apps and switching to JKSM solves the problem. This is in general, not just for acnl.

I'll also vouch for JKSM, it works perfectly for me and also when helping people on FB groups. There have been many people who have not been able to dump their save with save_manager but it was fine with JKSM. The problem with save_manager may be due to user error but if so, it shows JKSM is more noob friendly anyway.

The draw your own grass option is pretty cool, and has potential. I agree it needs better map features, so you can see where to put dirt paths. Or use it for filling in just the dirt patches without having obviously hacked grass on ramps, under pavement, etc.

However, I'd still like the fill all / remove all grass options back as separate buttons. Drawing it all in is tedious when you just want to fill the map.

Are the revive+ and dead (whatever it's called) buttons not working?

Well, the buttons work in the sense that if you hit one, then draw on the map, you can revive/remove the grass where you color on the mini map. But as far as I can tell, they no longer fill it all for you if you just hit the button.

I feel you continuously hit it, it does. At least for me, after hitting it a few times the entire grass revive makes it all green completely
