Hey dio... im trying to rebuild the cia using the tool provided and keep getting the error with the files mismatch. Any idea what it coulda be? I've tried both using a cia and a decrypted 3ds files, and the error persists.

Any pokemon that can mega evolve can hold its stone, yes.

Thanks. I'm up to Hau'oli City right now and first impressions are not bad. I liked the Trainer School, bit surprised I didn't see any poison/leech seed considering the emphasis on status moves.

I think there's something wrong with the encounter rates on Route 1 though. I ran around in the tall grass for about an hour and a half and only found 1 Panpour (which I defeated), it was mostly just Yungoos and Pikipek. In the end, I defeated so many Yungoos that my Litten was level 14 and I just bruteforced Hau through accidental overlevelling whilst attempting to catch a Panpour. Maybe the encounter rates of the elemental monkeys could be increased so that people who want to round their team early don't have to waste too much time looking for them?

I made elemental monkeys rare because they kinda suck. Route 1 is the route that should have lots of Yungoos and Pikipek. If you want an early water type, Wingull and Slowpoke are both available quite early.

Oh, I thought they would be easier to find because I was under the impression that the 'rare' Pokemon were made more common. I guess this would be something that an encounter table would have helped with.

Rare pokemon in each area are more common in Legit/Leveled. in Expanded, most common and repeated mons like Yungoos are removed from areas to make room for the rest of the pokemon.

I want to use the .CIA version of the game, how can i use that AND not having to delete the 1.1 update for SuMo every time i start the modded version instead? Is there no way that 1.1 can be "patched in" or in some way just gets denied from Umbra Moon directly? I really don't want to use the SaltySD method because i sometimes would like to launch the normal game without any modifications WITHOUT having to move the files or rename the folder to avoid the modifications, and i want Umbra Moon to be somewhat of a separate game from the normal Moon without it interfering in saves or the likes (hence why i use the .CIA version). Is there absolutely no way of fixing it so i don't have to delete the 1.1 update and redownload it every time i want to play the normal Moon?

You can't. Don't use the CIA version, use SaltySD. You won't have to move files to temporarily disable the romhack for your cartridge, just disable external .code / game patching in Luma before you use your cartridge. Alternatively, simply buy a copy of Sun and use that for the romhack.

Sorry to interject, but are you allowing people to upload .3ds gateway patched roms of this? I'm just hoping to get a prepatched (with this mod) rom on that iso site.

If you are using the SaltySD method, you can just hold Select when booting up the 3DS and uncheck/check 'Enable region/language emu. and ext. .code' to easily toggle the mod on and off.
