Gaming What Wii U games do you want made into "Deluxe" Ports for the Switch?

I'll agree that it's great to have Mario Kart 8: Deluxe on the Switch but it's Mario Kart so it's essential to keep gamers interested. However, putting that aside, I just hope they focus on making new games than re-releasing old ones on the Switch, this is an issue that PS4 had for a while as it only kept getting re-releases from PS3.

None of them.
I own a Wii U and it's bad enough that it's getting an enhanced MK8 port because I already bought the original and now I have to buy it again if I want the full experience. There's not a big enough gap (time and specs-wise) to warrant ports of Wii U games already.
I'd much rather see some enhanced remakes of GC/Wii games, such as Super Mario Sunshine, give it the WWHD treatment. I haven't played that in ages.

smash
bayonetta
mario maker
wind waker hd (shush)
pikmin 3
breath of the wild (how awesome would that be trololololol)
wii sports (nah, but seriously though)
pokken tournament (never played it much for the wii u)
toad trackers (works better as a mobile game anyway)
journey (it SHOULD have been a wii U game as well, so close enough)

my list basically boils down to: Wii U, but on the go.

they're running out of games there's no more ideas left everything that has been done...has been done :creep:
If they want they can actually make new games instead of slapping their old games on the newly released console.

I bet there are THOUSANDS of old games that you would find awesome, just that you never played or got very far in them.

So there are, but I'd rather play them on the Wii U for free, then pay $60 on Switch. If I were to set aside someone money for switch games, I'd want to spend them on new games, not ports. And when people spend their money on ports, they don't have enough money leftover to spend on 3rd parties, and the console dies.

None. After 30+ years I'm getting a bit tired of Nintendo selling me the same game multiple times, just to play on a newer system. Now they are releasing literally the same game as the previous generation, just labeled Deluxe for the new console. Including the season pass from the Wii U, that's nearly $200 spent on a single game. This is getting to be a bit beyond pathetic. I want to see new games on the new system. Am I alone in this?

Because old consoles magically become faulty and can't be used to play those old games or on a PC... seriously, there are tons of ways for people to play those old games so if they truly do want, then play them on those platforms than hog the Switch with an antique library than a new library of games.

Interesting point. The problem I see in this logic, at least from my interpretation, is that the failure of 3rd parties will come if Nintendo releases good games on their consoles, so that people will buy them rather than the 3rd party games. Which should bring us to the conclusion that Nintendo shouldn't release too many games since that would doom 3rd parties on the console. I get that I'm pulling it to the extreme here, but sometimes you have to in order to consider opinions or arguments.

That is a terrible point of view, by that logic then PS4 gamers would only buy PS4 exclusives.

True some of the the 3DS games would be awesome. Dark moon would be amazing if they could get it to work on the different screen configuration.
am i the only one that couldn't see the message he's referring to?

I wanna get GC VC SO MUCH! that and N64 fully functional VC will make me able to play all zelda games on the go, that would be so cool! and ofc skyward sword which will also be really awesome!

Exactly what I thought. No matter what way you twist and turn it, the best situation for both sides of the business is the same. The consumer benefits from a large user base and lots of games (there will inevitably be good games even if a lot is gonna be shovelware), the same goes for the producer.

Now back to the topic. The Switch could benefit from getting Wii U games since many, and I mean alot of people haven't experienced them and would enjoy them. I have a hard time seeing Super Mario 3D World being ported, since I have the impression that lately Nintendo has been reluctant to do that with Mario games. At the same time they seem to port or make available the games that did well sales wise and critically last generation (?), which would suggest Super Mario 3D World to be likely of a port.

Anyways, this thread is about what games I would like to see. I think Super Mario 3D World would be the best since it has small levels that work for handheld play, and it's easily a great game for the local multiplayer offerings of the Switch. I'd also like to see Fatal Frame/Project Zero Maiden of Black Water, but that could be hard considering it's use of the gamepad.

^ The only thing stopping Mario 3D World are the Captain Toad stages because everything else works like a normal game without forced gimmicks (unless you also want to count shouting/breathing to the WiiU's GamePad). I was thinking about selling my Mario Kart 8 to use that money towards the NS version but nah, bought the DLC (played it to death) as well as plenty of unlocked amiibo costumes so I'll just keep it.

I never got around to master racing in 200cc (pressing B in a Mario Kart just feels unnatural).
