Can anyone help...I got some SNES and Sega games on my NES, but when I try to open the games, it just re-loads back to the game/folder menu. Am I missing a step, or did I do anything wrong? I am using v 2.13 and I have Retroarch installed on the system. Thanks for your help!
This happens when the game isn't able to find the core to run from. Did you install the cores that you needed? i.e. snes9x2010, snes9x2005, genesis_plus_gx mods will need to be installed after RetroArch module. You will need to move the necessary core .hmod files to the user_mods folder so that hakchi can see and install them ;)

I have forgotten this step too many times to count, lol.

I got a question:

I'm trying to get a mame (pacman) game to launch from the front list. I put in a nice pacman cabinet image, and I put this in the command line:

/bin/zip /usr/share/games/nes/kachikachi/CLV-Z-XPCQD/pacman.zip

Anything I'm doing wrong here? It isn't launching. There is no core selected in retroarch, and if I select a core, and exit, it still won't launch it. Any tips? :)

I looked at another example:
/bin/gba /usr/share/games/nes/kachikachi/CLV-A-WJPGX/Pac-Man_Collection.gba

So instead of 'gba' what do I put in for mame?
It's /bin/mame2000 or /bin/mame2003
You know, there is a list of available command line arguments in the README.md
Next time, look there first.

Can someone do a video test of Castlevania and Castlevania Legacy of Darkness roms on the n64 core? Are they playable or horribly lagged?
I just tried Castlevania on gulpen64 core and it was playable so far. Did only 10 minutes of playing though.

I keep having this problem when uploading the kernel where instead of the light turning off it instead turns on the system and it doesn't upload the games, any fix for that?

I'm at about 240MB of games... all current save states still work, but any new ones I try and make I get a C4 error... anyone else have this issue? I may take it down to 200MB and see if that does the trick... can't imagine that save files take up that much space when it emulators save slots only take up a few kb...

232 games installed
only emulating: NES, SNES, GBA, Gen, SMS, TG16 and SG...

Also, still using (Clusters') hakchi2 2.12 since 2.13 doesn't seem to like my folder structure...

So I have my folders set up almost exactly how I want them, got all the games I want on there with character sprites for folder images.

But that back button just looks out of place, anyone found/made a better option? That blue one is bugging me for some reason

Yep, I'll refer to that from now on, thanks for your patience.

The command worked. :)

/bin/mame2003 /usr/share/games/nes/kachikachi/CLV-Z-PLWCW/mspacman.zip (worked, and I needed the space after mame2003).

I have a button combination setup to go back to the menu (start+select), but it takes me to the retroarch menu (and then I have to choose 'quit). Is there a way I can instead make it go all the way back out to the front list? Last question, I promise, for at least an hour or so. :P hehe j/k

You could just change the hakchi one in Settings>Controller hacks, then Select Reset button combination. Since Retroarch is setup with Select+Start.

OK, so I decided to start this whole process over from scratch. To do this, I have to flash the original kernal, correct? The problem is that I have been creating multiple folders for each new hakchi release. So I would first need to copy the oldest kernal image I have and paste it into the dump folder of my hakchi version 12 folder and delete the more recent kernal image that is already there?

Reposting for a new page. Are the above instructions correct? I want to make sure I am flashing the right kernal image.

No, I didn't. I've just copied config, dump, and games folders.
Ah I see thats method I plan on using to upgrade. how about your Mods did you uninstall retroarch h mod and cores or is it save install retroarch hmod over other retroarch hmod with out uninstall it. cause im using 0.3 release i need update to 0.4 should I do that first before switching to 2.13 I guess

btw brazil rocks.

Of course, but the default combo in Hakchi 2 is Down+Select. I thought that he had a reason to keep Select+Start as Reset combo.

Nestopia crashes with scanline shader applied, so Cluster disabled it in 0.4:
Code:
if [ "$extension" == "fds" ] || [ "$extension" == "qd" ]; then
  core=nestopia
  crt=0
fi
You're having this issue because you're using an old version of RetroArch module.

Copy user_mods, games, config and dump folders from old Hakchi2 into a new one, that's all.

Awesome thank you so much!!
