If true hacked you mean with a cfw then it can play then at about 50 fps with retroarch

Yes there is a PS1 Retroarch emulator on the 3DS that works well enough:

I personally don't use it though, it really needs to be running at closer to full speed for me to find much real use in.

If you want handheld PSX games, just get a PSP. No matter how emulation on 3ds progresses, it's never going to match the system that was literally made in part to play them.

i dont think so, if smash bros 3ds modding takes off to the quality of importing character models like on the wii then i think it could pick up some more, people are still to this day buying 3ds's and modding them. Its probably dying but should be going strong till the end of next year. To me the 3ds is the ultimate gameboy, 3ds, ds, gba, gb, snes, genesis its just perfect!

Yes. If you want to run psx games on a portable device at 60 fps, just run them on your phone. 3DS isn't the console for that.

Console New3DS is not strong enough to emulate the console before 23 years old (remember: PSX 33 MHz speed, 2 MB RAM, lol). What a shame ..

The 3ds has a 128MB RAM and you are pretending to emulate a console with a very different architecture at full speed..

PSX console is well emulated even in my fridge from 10 years ago, so the more shame. Anyway, there's no need to argue, just a pity that the PSX emulation on the 3DS is not good.
