RetroArch module and cores were updated:
https://github.com/pcm720/retroarch-clover/releases/tag/0.4-extra
Changes:
  • A lot of FDS fixes and shell optimizations (including the ones from Cluster)
  • Some cores were updated from Lakka distribution for RPi 2/3
  • Added PicoDrive, SNES9x2005, DOSBox, MAME 2000, MAME 2003 and Mednafen NGP cores.
Thank @asper for MAME 2003, DOSBox and NGP and @nesito for MAME 2000, DOSBox and Caprice32 update

As always, read the instructions.
If you're having troubles with this release, try to uninstall hakchi completely. To do this, in Hakchi2, press Kernel —> Uninstall, do not restore the original kernel.
Synchronize your games and then install the modules you need

--retroarch --core fceumm

Hello pcm720 and once again, congratulations on your great work with retroarch!!! I can't thank you enough for your contributions!!
I am trying to get GoldenEye 007 to run at an acceptable frame rate but Glupen64 doesn't run it well and I've seen that with Mupen64 runs better....
I have one question: Is it possible to install more than one Nintendo64 core? (I mean to have both glupen64 and mupen64 cores installed at the same time). How can I choose which game to load with each core in extra args??
Thanks again in advance for your help! :)

Yes and I lied it isn't letting me sync at around 310 either red light won't go off towards the end then I get it to finish and it skipped some games. Trying 1 more time.

My games folder is around 80 MB, as soon as I try to add Mario 64 which has 8 MB the sync process fails. I've already transferred Starfox 64 and Mario Kart 64 successfully, each has 12 MB. Just to be sure we are not talking about the Folders in GUI like one for SNES and so on or is this limited too?

Should I use *.zip Files instead ? I extracted everything.

@Cluster Maybe this idea was already opted, but for a feature version wouldn't it be a idea to sort the games in gui, now we can sort them in folders just after syncing but maybe it would be better to sort them before it, i only have 88 games, but all the games of the different console are all below each other, some games have the same names but are for different consoles, so maybe some sort of order option would be great, or having it show different consoles where we can add games, in the gui.

I'm not sure if the .glsl shaders are going to work with this Retroarch setup, but I'm going to try out CRT-Royale and CRT-Geom and see if those will work.

Tried different crt shaders for armhf, but most of them are too heavy for nesce. I tried some simple scanline shaders, but they've got some weird glitches going on. I hope some of the shader builders will create some decent ones for nesce.

I think I'll build a nuc 7 emulstation/retroarch combo somewhere in the future :).

@pcm720
I do have a minor issue. I can go into Retroarch and see the 6 cores I added via mods in addition to the Nestopia and FCEUmm cores. However, I am not sure the use_* mods worked. My Star Wars Arcade 32X game when started from the menu goes to black screen and immediately back to menu But it can load from Retroarch if I go load the picodrive core and then load the game from Retroarch. So I am not sure if I did something wrong when trying to install use_picodrive and am not sure if other use_* mods are installed.

Is there a way to verify they are installed? Or if I need to install again, how do I do that? Do I have uninstall them somehow before installing again or just select to install a second time? The Hachki never shows what mods I have installed currently. It always shows blank checkmarks for all mods in the install mods menu. So I am not sure if repeating a mod install is a problem.

Finally, N64 games are sluggish so I assume the only way to set default GLupeN64 core for all those games is to add "--retroarch --core glupen64" to the end of the command arguments for each game, correct?

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

32X file type is not supported by current version Hakchi2, so you most likely forgot to change command line args for 32X games. Check them, the string should say "/bin/32x <rom path>". In your case it probably says "/bin/path-to-your-app <rom path>"
You can confirm the installation by launching Genesis games from NES shell, then pressing Select+Start. Check the core name at the bottom of the screen. If use_picodrive is installed, it should say "Picodrive" instead of "Genesis Plus GX"
Same with unsupported NES games (should be Nestopia instead of FCEUmm) and SNES games (SNES9x2005 instead of SNES9x2010)

It's possible. Installing mupen64plus won't remove glupen64.

@pcm720 could you try the lakka beetle_vb core? Is that possible? The mednafen_vb core for virtual boy works slightly, but crashes.
I can add it if someone will make a working module

Thank you for your reply. But how can I choose which game to load with each core in extra args??
For example, /bin/n64 loads the games with glupen64. If I install mupen64 as well, which extra args should I put to specify that the game XXXX should load with mupen64, not glupen64...

Hi,

I have this issue:

After installing hackchi2 + Retroarch + Cloverapp + extra cores, most of my NES roms (not the original ones) refuse to work and take me back to the main NES menu. Any ideas why this is happeing?

I have installed 'only' 262 roms (NES + some N64, SNES, and so on).

Yesterday, I reverted to the original kernel and then reinstalled everything again, but to no avail. The issue is still happening.

Anyone with similar issues in the past who knows how to make all NES roms work? (an example, 1942 works, but 1943 doesn't) (??)

For now, it's not really possible. I'll fix it later by adding /bin/n64g script to mupen64plus to launch N64 games with glupen64

Yes it is limited too, since you have SNES games on there I can imagine that you have quite a few games under "S". Try to name "Super Mario 64", "N64 - Super Mario 64". If there are less games under "N" your system will probably sync normally.

@Cluster Great work man! I just installed 2.12 again, my FDS issues are already fixed. :D The fonts still messed up but I can play FDS games normally again. :D

Edit: The fonts are fixed, just download the updated fontfix.hmod in the github page.
