Suggestion Baking/Cooking section for users to show off food's they have cooked.

Hey, I think Gbatemp should have a spot under other discussions for people who want to show off their baking/cooking skills.
I mean we have one to show off our art, why not one for baking/cooking?
or should I post my photos of my baking/cooking under Gbatemp art studio or general or blog?
I just think it's neat that people show off their baking/cooking skills!

Baked hotdogs filled with cheese and onion. I dip them in condiments, they're really good.
I just use wieners, cheese sticks and (cooked) onions, and wrap them in pizza dough. They're great to freeze and reheat in the microwave in just a minute, making for nice breakfasts.

Laksa noodles (Singaporean specialty) with fish cake and prawn:

Sushi I made a while back, cutting them up without mangling them in the process was tricky:

You might be overthinking this.
The art section is there for creative type stuff and posting there would probably be fine. If it gets moved it gets moved, in any case as long as you were not warned before about it you would be acting in good faith.

I used to post them in my blog, and I have new picture I didn't post yet.
Maybe I'll post them in the (official?) thread instead.

What would be nice is that we post only things we did, not a general picture food found on internet (I know it was implied, but I'm sure some users would post random pictures)

Posting the recipe too, if other users are interested in baking/cooking the same thing too. though, I never had any request in my blog, users are just happy to see what I did.

If we have a cooking sub section then where does it stop? Fashion, gardening, DIY etc? This and other types of sub forums have been suggested before. In my opinion there is no reason why any of this content cant be posted in gotc. The art section is something different because it encompasses many disciplines, drawing, both by hand and digital, music, poetry, writing and so on so its existence is more justified as it casts a bigger net. And also there were a constant stream of art type discussions to fill a sub forum, the same for the books, movie and music section. People are free to post pretty much whatever they wish in gotc and even then we don't see a lot of cooking related content there, it is actually quite a rare thing, so it is hard to take the people who are chomping at the bit for such a forum to be taken seriously when we barely had any of those type of threads before it was suggested.

I dunno, i may be wrong but i remember some blogs on here showing of food people made, although i can't find it or remember what it was, but i think it was backing cakes or cookies or something. Either that or i dream the whole thing.

I mean if you wanna share your skill, just make a blog right? Isn't that what is for? Personal interest? The other forum topics are general discussion on related content that is common for everyone. Blogs is for personal matters.... which hardly seem to be personal or unique with people starting meme trends, but oh well. If you make food, i'll find your blog and sample the pictures.
