It's impressive that people still up to this day use Gateway, RxTools and other flashcards.
Upgrading from these to A9LH is quite easy and A9LH is clearly superior in every way.
It seems only an update like this can make these lazy people change their minds

I do have freeshop. But it's nice to be able to play games without installing them as well.
I'm in the exactly same situation as Drewington (on 11.2 with A9 + Luma) but I have another question: Is there any single reason for my to go to 11.3? I mean, is not like is there any game that is supported only by it right?
I think I'll keep with 11.2 if is not a "problem".
Not really but if you play online and use stuff like pokemon bank you need 11.3
Well, no reason for my then. The only way I turned on the Wifi on my 3ds was exactly to make the first update.

Quick question, I have luma and am on 11.2 on one of my consoles, but its not a9lh. Can I still update? If not what Do I do to update safely? Console isnt with me and is away with a friend. I could easily remote into his pc and copy files easier then mod it fully is why I ask
You can update, but I'd suggest installing Luma+A9LH for the best experience. There's no obvious way to install A9LH on 11.3 systems yet. Only 11.2 and down, which you downgrade through a guide (look it up, it's easy) and install Luma and A9LH which is the best idea. Trust me on this.
Ok so what I gathered from your post is I can just update that console to 11.3 and Luma/my emunand will still function? Will I need to update Luma prior? And I know its better but that consoles in another state. I have two others on a9lh. I just want him to be able to safely update the console and still be able to play Pokemon online with me. Also are you saying if I went ahead with the update to 11.3 I could later downgrade it to install a9lh? Thanks for answering my questions!
EmuNAND is (to the best of my knowledge, though I could be wrong) completely broken for now. Mainly because any CFW that uses it will not be able to load it up properly with 11.3's update. Unless you actively mess with your firmware or the 3DS code you really don't need EmuNAND anymore anyways. If you want A9LH which gives you pretty much full use of your system, along with a great custom firmware that supports everything that you could want. I'd suggest you install Luma and A9LH BEFORE you do anything else, part of the guides to do this will tell you when it's safe in the walkthrough to update. If you're moving from EmuNAND to SysNAND (What Luma uses) you can find guides using hourglass9/decrpyt9 to move them. I THINK it's basically just dumping your EmuNAND and injecting it into SysNAND but I'd double check with the guides. I moved from ReiNAND to Luma+A9LH a little while back, and it's the best choice I made. It really is that simple, and if you have questions, people here are really nice and can help you with problems, or point you to the right guide to follow. Best of luck!

EmuNAND still works perfectly on Luma+a9lh regardless of firmware version and in fact Luma has supported multiple emunands for some time now. Thus, if you wanted to with Luma you could have sysnand on 11.3, one emunand on 11.3, one emunand on 10.7, one emunand on 10.3, and one emunand on 9.2 all on the same system. Not that doing so is generally useful.
Though for people running up against the 300 app/game limit there is no reason why they couldn't have an (unlinked) emunand or two on 11.3 to use for their emulator/VC injects (except for GBA VC, of course).
Ah, I see. Well, my mistake, but most people don't use EmuNAND unless they need it for one reason or another. The average user won't need it. Good to know it's still supported though.
I am using homebrew launcher to launch Luma+11.2 emunand on one of my three consoles. The rest are a9lh, I couldn't find anything up to date on migrating my emunand to sysnand/a9lh. Id like to keep all my games/saves
Found this in the first minute of google searches. Google is your friend. Don't be afraid.
EDIT: Just do it with Decrypt9/Hourglass9 instead. Just do a min dump of your EmuNAND, and inject it into your SysNAND. If you have A9LH already installed, make sure you "keep A9LH" too. Just make sure you have 11.2 and have Luma set before hand if you want to keep your system "unlocked" so to speak.
