lmao no
I lost you at that
Nice try fanboy
Im not a fanboy, i've seen some videos when i started in this community, that's all, i've never seen he thrash talking or shit like that, as i've seen other ones in this community

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Uh, wrong. He's taken the sources of popular homebrew and shoehorned his name into the credits and released it as his own.
Well, i might be wrong then, but the things i've seen like the recovery menu and a9lh safe installer just where he modified the files he just added some lines of code(adding unnecesary text), but not claiming it, but as i've said, there might be other things that he has claimed, i don't know about that thing u are talking about, so i can't say much :\

Oh, what a shame. Usually I'd be unhappy with Nintendo, but people trying to make money off of the hackers who put this stuff out for free aren't needed. I realise not everyone making videos are trying to make money on them, but some clearly are.

That, and everyone and there mother are making shit-tier tutorial videos, most of which are outdated the moment they're made, let alone the fact that idiots (like the ones OP mentioned) provide files and such that they shouldn't, which just leads to more problems (and more dumbshits on sites like GBAtemp with the "OMG I FOLLOWED TEH VIDYA TUTORIAL AND MUH 3DS IS BRICKED" topics that never stop).

I don't think their videos are really allowed anyway, because at least some of them are showing how to do not-so-legal things. Nintendo does have a point here. Normally I'd say they didn't, but this time, I think they do.

>U.S. laws
>It's not the same everywhere you know
Go back to /v/ and stay there.

At least this will be a positive side-effect of the change. The absolute worst offender I've seen is a video "tutorial" consisting of a screenshot from 3ds.guide's title page and NotePad text directing users to click on the link in the description and follow the instructions on the page. The link was to 3ds.guide, except hidden behind an ad-serving page that would download malware. These videos are just shameless cash-grabs contributing nothing useful to the community and I hope Nintendo can help clean YouTube of these types of videos.

People need to treat YouTube like how we (are supposed to) treat GBAtemp. It's against the ToS to post a video with links to wares either in the video or description. I suggest to put a pastebin containing the illegal download links to try and mask them with legal looking zip file names (like: kitty_pics.zip) with passwords (like: smea_loves_rimjobs) that you get from watching the video.

I mean just keep it on the down low and you'll be fine.
LOL @ THAT PASSWORD XD

Yakara's stuff is... fill with ad bullshit almost all the time, not to mention his bricking spree for not removing a damn file.
So in a way i'm glad he's stopped, this is the reason why people often pay for "CFW services" in my country to get CFW at overprice and not screw up. When it's relatively simple for anyone with reading capabilities and a normal attention span.

Well, i might be wrong then, but the things i've seen like the recovery menu and a9lh safe installer just where he modified the files he just added some lines of code(adding unnecesary text), but not claiming it, but as i've said, there might be other things that he has claimed, i don't know about that thing u are talking about, so i can't say much :\

..Adding his name so it's like "By x" or "X's SafeA9LHInstaller" IS claiming it as his. You don't have to say "oh yeah it's mine" when you put your damn name front and centre in someone else's work WITHOUT changing it (no, adding a string does not constitute changing it enough to make it unique) or crediting the original programmer.

I've had some dipshit in the past steal my work and rebrand it and it royally pissed me the fuck off (It was a GTA V Mod menu I made ages back and that shitbag stole my work and passed it off as his own). The program maybe open source, but unless you actually add functionality, you don't slap your name over every else's.

It's a sad reality really. That's mainly why a lot of devs I know prefer to obfuscate the hell out of their code and only collab with people they trust to prevent skids stealing their work.

Where there's money to be made, you can guarantee someone will be there milking it off of someone else (R4 and gateway clones for example).

I've never seen "by's" or "x's X" but if he have done so, u are right then, just saying that the things i've used of him didnt say such things, so again, i cant talk about what the things u saying cause i havent download those files, so u might be right, i dont know ^^'
I agree with u
