nope YouTube take down vids unfairly all the time and it's a big problem on YouTube these days
to which i replied, can you show a video that shows no rules broken whatsoever that got taken down

plus, it gets taken down if its flagged by the cumminity, which wouldnt be flagged unless they did something

ofcourse i can't, they've been taken down. Would be a bit hard to do so if they've just been taken down
can you at the very least name one?

if you cant, you just lost the arguement, because that would mean that there hasnt been a video unfairly taken down :/

*facepalm*

Seems Nintendo still doesn't realizes that to do all of the CFW and A9LH stuff nobody sees Youtube guides , they go to 3ds.guide.
This is only affecting the creators of those channels . 3ds.guide will always be the best guide to install A9LH and stuff and they literally dont do anything by deleting Youtube channels.

''Haxx on your system!?! Let's get HBL and DSi downgrades! What's soundhaxx?'

Sadly YouTube's takedown system is very open to abuse. A while ago I received a copyright strike (not a content ID match, but a formal strike and warning) not for uploading pirated content or anything, but because I had recorded myself performing a cover of a piece of music.

In most cases if they don't have tutorials that are on piracy, they will go after any content that has Nintendo gameplay in it. Which is stupid because most of what's been used falls within fair use.
So if you have any plans on creating videos like this (Which I have done in the past) all you have to do is not use first party gameplay, and possibly not any gameplay at all. So far haven't had any of my older videos touched, but I'm not a huge channel that draws a lot of attention and I haven't done anything more recent than ironhax. But in theory as long as you don't do something directly involving piracy (freeshop for example) and you don't use gameplay you SHOULD be able to stay safe, but that's no guarantee with youtube's extremely broken copyright system that seems to ignore fair use entirely.

Hopefully they'll be reconsidering the policy on gameplay clips soon, the Switch has a dedicated capture feature and it would be useless if they kept their draconian rules on banning gameplay footage online.

What a farce.

According to everyone's favourite "Let's DMCA his videos because we disagree" critic, Jim Stirling, if you contest the takedown and they don't reply - within 2 weeks, the video which was taken down is restored. Good timing too since that video came out 2 days ago where he told Nintendo to go fuck themselves backwards.

This just reeks of false positive (much like the millions of bogus links which are sent to Google by "anti-piracy companies" which end up being thrown out because they target legit content because it's done by a bot).

Contest it and see what happens.

They'll just nudge you towards their "partner program" where nintendo is paid, and you're given the scraps which are left. Everything else will just be nuked or have adverts strewn all over it as an excuse to "protect our IP".
