The Great Knights that normal lunatic stationed near the exit actually already discourage you from flying. it just dones't discourage you to reset and hope for a crit/DF on turn 1 over and over again, haha... just a couple outlaws and a Wyrmslayer unit should be enough to discourage you from going for a 2-turn flyskip

chapter 12 has a problem that Team Xander's Ai can be heavily manipulated by a flier. I honestly think that Xander could simply have a "only move is something is in range" AI to force you to use the DV. Peri and Laslow might be okay to leave as they were...
How does the game discourage you from flying?

There is literally nothing to stop/discourage me from pairing Corrin to Subaki, and reaching the escape point by turn 2 by just going left.

Well, maybe your Corrin was stronger than mine, but the GK who was nearby wrecked him. But i admit, i never tried to flyskip that, i wanted a semi-rout (Peri and everything generic needed to die before i was satisfied)

Also, totally mixed you up with TC, lol. It was the white hair on the avatar!

Planning for chapter 9 is done. I might get a quick release out tonight after finishing my homework, depends really.

Also found something interesting about chapter 7 out. Chapter 7 was originally supposed to have reinforcements come out of the stairs within the level, proved by existing enemy reinforcement blocks that have units that have coordinates matching to the stairs of the level. Unfortunately, these reinforcement blocks are not referenced within the chapters script, but it is entirely possible to re add these reinforcements into the level. I might consider doing this.

Chapter 9 is out, and it's really an... Inspiration. (I'll show myself out.)

Chapter 9:
  • As hinted, there are some key enemies that have received the skill Inspiration.
  • Skills all around as usual.
  • Some more unique items are here and there.
  • Reinforcements changed to be one Outlaw and one Dark Mage on both sides of the map.
Not too much to say, still plays a lot like the chapter used to be, except well. You know. Harder.

Will do some nerfs to chapter 9 tomorrow, cavaliers having pass is a bit too frustrating. Not the kind of frustration from having to think, but the kind from Camillas birthright chapter with the dragon vein gimmick

Thanks to @thane98 , I can add different units to the chapter and change existing units stats and class if need be! Expect level variety to increase, and this also allows me to do quite a bit more for level design as a whole!

Chapter 10 along with a (really short failed attempt at) chapter 10 preview video!

Chapter 10: Ninja Village
  • No enemy rearrangement, just skills added all around.
  • All Ninjas now have Vantage and Poison Strike.
  • A few Lunge enemies here and there.
  • Kotaru Has a Spy's Yumi and some annoying skills.

Finally finished with chapter 11, starting work on Chapter 12. My main idea for this chapter is:

Remove all mounted units. Its just strange plot wise. How the hell did Nohr get all of those horse onto the boats like really? Also the level would likely be too hard with Xander and his posse after you with the addition of skills into this level. To fix this, Xander and Peri will be reclassed for this level only. A "dismounted" class if you will. Xander will be a Hero and Peri a generic Lancer. Thoughts?
