Today, I was trying to get Custom Firmware on my 3DS using this guide https://3ds.guide/ Everything was going fine until while trying to do the CTRNAND Transfer, my console turned off. Ever since then, my 3DS stays on a black screen whenever it's turned on. I've been trying for hours and hours to see if there's anything I could do to fix it but nothing has worked yet. I don't know if there's any way I could fix this but I'm begging for help. I need this 3DS to work.
If you were unable to perform this most crucial step, then it sounds like you had it coming...
Yeah it pretty much is my fault and I didn't have enough space on my sd card to make the NAND backup. I'm just hoping for a miracle fix or something that would make my 3DS work normally again.
Likely to never happen, you might as well get rid of the thing.

did you follow the guide to the T, if yes you would have made a backup before flashing 2.1 ...what 3ds do you have and what's the size of the nandmin file?

1. i followed the guide to a T but the backup was never made... i have the old 3ds xl and the size of the nandmin file is 0 kb. pretty sure i cant do anything with that
2. yeah it was charged, probably pressed a button on accident and it costed me my life.
probably not going to work, but as a last resort try booting recovery mode and updating, hopefully the ctrtransfer was far enough along to boot into recovery mode....but I kinda doubt it will have been, in fact iirc it doesn't do the native_firm until last so it's probably in a terribly broken state

If you do not already have a NAND backup, backup SysNAND to NANDmin.bin when prompted by pressing (A)
- Having a backup of your device’s NAND is REQUIRED.
- Skipping this backup will result in the LOSS of all installed games and saves!
It should have offered to do a NAND backup before the CTRNAND transfer. Did you decline to the backup?
