There hasn't been any new SNES games released for the N3DS. The last one was Castlevania: Dracula X, which came out in North America on December 29, 2016 and Europe on January 26, 2017. Where the hell is Super Mario All-Stars, Super Mario RPG, Kirby Super Star, Kirby's Dream Land 3, ActRaiser, Gradius III, Harvest Moon, Wild Guns, and Pac-Attack? Some of those could at least be released, until the Switch launches.

It's been almost 2 months, okay! Usually it takes 2-3 weeks to get an SNES VC game; and yes, the SA1 games could run on the N3DS. Defiantly not the O3DS, though. I could easily picture KSS and SMRPG running on it.

Well if you can't wait you can always inject games yourself if you have cfw.
I don't have any CFW and I really want "perfect" injections of games like Super Mario All-Stars and ActRaiser. I don't think Super Mario RPG, Kirby Super Star, or Kirby's Dream Land 3 is possible until Nintendo releases at least one of those games.

My old 2012 Android Xperia Play phone runs them fine but not the SA1 ones. A workaround runs them perfectly, but with glitchy SPC-700 sound. (i.e. lightning SFX)

Where can I get a new phone that supports add-on controllers or should I just wait for the Switch?

Super Mario RPG, Kirby Super Star, Kirby's Dream Land 3.
3 words: no SA-1 support.

And it's not like any more third party games would release.

Neither would All-Stars, as why sell 4 for $8 when you can sell worse versions of them for $5 each?

Other than that, we're just about out of SNES games.

SA1 could still work. It's not impossible. I hope the Switch can play all 51 SNES games that are the on Wii U, as long as Nintendo releases like 3-5 games a week. That's right, 51 games, compared to the N3DS, which only has 30.

It really disgusts me how bad they've treated SNES support, compared to the Wii's awesome support. We still don't have games like ActRaiser, Aero The Acro-bat 1&2, and Chrono Trigger (at least there's the DS port) and only Japan has games like Final Fantasy II, III, and Mystic Quest, as well as Secret of Mana. Then games like Zombies Ate My Neighbors don't get another chance to be re-released because license holders are such assholes with the way they handle IPs! It's just sickening that we'll never see TMNT4 or the NES TMNT games, for that matter! I mean the Wii U's VC support was so ABYSMAL, compared to the Wii's. At least the Wii got Sega Genesis, Neo Geo, and even for a short while; Sega Master System, Commodore 64, and even arcade games. I mean the Wii U is just now starting to receive TG-16 games and the system is practically dead! In fact Japan got them like 3 years before NA and EU did. Also Japan still has like 30 games that NA and EU have yet to receive and time is running out for the Wii U. Just goes to show you how badly the Virtual Console is handled, outside of Japan. I mean 1 game a week and (sometimes) 2 games a week, and very rarely; 3 games a week? I'd say release 3-5 games a week, at least. That's how it was from 2006-2009.

Then you have games that COULD be released but aren't for some unknown reasons like Contra (instead of just Super C) and Pac-In-Time (instead of the mediocre Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures) and the SNES port of Wario's Woods, which is superior to the vanilla NES version. You'd also think that Yoshi's Safari and Super Scope 6 would be possible since NES games like Duck Hunt that support the NES Zapper, have already been released.

Is more like why sell that when the two GBA games already exist on wii u anyway? Not to mention Super mario bros DX, maybe kinda beats the nes one since it does have both the lost levels and more variety, Super mario advance has more variety and the SMB3 E reader levels. Although not on 3DS is still something to consider, the GBA games on wii u are GOOD ports compared to 3DS, not only are there more games available but modified to have new features due to not supporting multiplayer or e-reader. Secret chips in megaman battle network with a mere option select is the equivlient to having a pokemon game with ALL POKEMON IN IT :P

Also why is sa-1 so important?

Compared to the 3DS/N3DS, the Wii U had (at least) a decent library of VC games. I have 94 NES games, that's 29 more than I have on the 3DS. Meanwhile games like Adventure Island II, Milon's Secret Castle, Summer Carnival '92: Recca, and Star Solider remain exclusive to the Wii and 3DS. Japan did get The Mysterious Murasame Castle on the Wii, 3DS, and Wii U, while NA and EU only got it on the 3DS.

SA1 games were the best! Kirby Super Star (Yes, there's the DS version), Kirby's Dream Land 3, and most of all; Super Mario RPG. I'm sure a handheld made 2 years ago could run them fine. Now the O3DS is defiantly out of the question!

So the sa-1 is only worth it for 3 games? Are you saying no other games are worth it?

If I had Super Mario RPG on the 3ds, I would play it EVERY DAY!

EDIT:Though I have it, I would legitimately buy it from the eshop if they released it there.

No, there's more games like Super Mario All-Stars, Kirby's Avalanche, ActRaiser, Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, Gradius III, Super Star Wars trilogy, Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, and so on!

The only game out of that list that can be played is maybe Chrono Trigger.

I even remember when the GBA port of SMB3 was one of the rumored ambassador GBA games on the 3DS. My theory is that Nintendo stopped with the SNES games on the N3DS because the Switch is about to launch and can play (at least) NES and SNES games on the go. Not sure about N64, GBA, DS, Wii, or TG-16 games? Hopefully. I think DS and Wii would be the most difficult to emulate. N64 is fairly possible and GBA will be a no brainier.

I mean if all of those platforms (even GB and GBC) were announced for the Switch, I'd go apeshit!

Umm i don't think those games are ever going to be on VC on 3DS, but are you complaining about WII U 3DS or VC 3ds? I think some more snes games are on WIIshop anyway. Why not just use a emulator if you wanna play them anyway? They work just fine on a wii u or wii, maybe even gamecube (If you have that SD homebrew loader action replay) Or some other system with working Emulators? I didn't know people actually liked buying VC games. :P

I like my emulators on portable consoles and the Switch is probably the only "legal" option I have. Phones really don't have built in controller support. In fact, my phone did a really, really, really bad job of trying to connect my MOGA controller to my phone. It was a nightmare! I did manage to beat SMRPG, on it while it still connected fine and had no issues, whatsoever! If I go with homebrew, my mileage may vary! At least Nintendo's Virtual Console service guarantees no emulation issues, for the most part.

Just think; NES, SNES, N64, GCN, WII, GB, GBC, GBA, DS, and TG-16 on the go would be just fucking awesome! I like older games better, the same way people prefer older music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, to newer music of the 2000s and 2010s and so on. Not saying all modern games suck, but we live in a world full of endless generic M-rated shooters and mobile iOS/Android garbage to the point where I prefer the classics from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. The only few exceptions, as of late are Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Yo-Kai Watch 1&2, and Yoshi's Woolly World. I really hope Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild can recapture the magic of the 90s and 2000s, which was the best era in gaming, ever! Around 2007-2012 is when it started going downhill.
