@Pandaxclone2, I altered the guide to instruct users to enable flight mode before plugging in the USB cable, but that is all I am changing. I had a good look at that entire tutorial and really found no more errors after that in it. I'm not going to fix something that's not broken...

It's not broken necessarily but expect some issues due to missing necessary bits of information.

Well if you think you have something worthwhile to add to the thread, I went and added you to the access list temporarily. I just know you're itching to add that neccessary stuff yourself...

(I am just way too busy to do it myself at the moment.)

EDIT: Thanks for editing the thread! Much appreciated!

Thank you and apologies. As an initial noob myself to PS Vita hacking I can guarantee you that I was confused when trying to follow that guide. Only trial and error with some google searching eventually helped me, and even then I discovered that a majority of guides that describe this method fail to specify some information as well. A big problem with it was the lack of information on what error message I should be getting which ran me around in circles.

Anyway it should be better now.

There's no need to apologise; the guide can never be perfect, so it's good to see some input from the people using it, which in turn can allow for edits to be made to it. :)

Hi. Could someone help me out please. I have got Henkaku up and running with no problems. I have installed a couple of VPKs (Stella and offlinehenkaku mod) but every other VPK I try from retroarch just sits on 0% when I try to install. I have tried many, many times with reboots and new copies of the vpk, but the same result every time. Sometimes it craps out and gives me a core dump message which says the following 'an error has occurred in the following applications (C2-12828-1) Saved core file succeeded and then a location. Is there something I am doing wrong. I have plenty of storage space and the fact that two VPKs have installed would suggest that things are working..

Boot into safe mode and try rebuilding the database.

If that doesn't work, try installing Henkaku from the browser and, just before the installation starts, hold down the "R" button. This will reset all Henkaku-related configurations (it won't delete any of your VPKs). After that, try again.

Also, have you enabled "unsafe homebrew" in the Molecular Shell options?

Hi. I tried both suggestions and still I have the same issue with 0% installing message, then crapping out to the error message. Weird. Anything else to try? Has this problem been encountered before? I couldn't find much on the web or here about that specifically.

I've seen the error message before, but it was related to sce_module issues with backup games, not with installing homebrew...are you able to install the VitaShell VPK? You can try using that to install VPKs, and if that still doesn't work you can extract the VPKs using 7zip or Winrar (since they're basically normal .zip files) and then transfer the folder and install it that way on the newest VitaShell version.

That happens because there are no more Henkaku Beta's anymore, Taihen has been officially releases as of the 27th of Dec. That shouldn't be the cause at all, and if it were then resetting the configuration should've fixed it.

Cheers. I will try the extraction method!

I will also give this a try, but like I say...vpk on the root is giving me much more success than when I had the VPKs in a folder.

3) [OPTIONAL] Navigate to ux0: in the manager, and create a folder (preferably called "VPK") to store all of your incoming VPK files in.

How am i supposed to do this? I'm insidd molecularshell in the ux0: Partition and it errors out on me if I try to create a folder (Error 0x8001000D) tried with winspc and it doesn't work either.
Unsafe homebrew is enabled just in case i needed that to create a folder. I still can't (trying to create the vpk folder to install my backups there via FTP)

EDIT: Nevermind. Molecular shell still thought i was in safe mode. I rebooted via the start meni and had to execute henkaku again from the browser. Now all the files inside the UX0: Partition are visible. Something seems off though, the vita gets disconnected from the FTP program for some reason. I've had the transfer fail on me twice (shortly after the beginning, luckily) is this normal? It's continuously asking for credentials on the pc part (but the vita is stuck in the FTP now running screen)

EDIT2: It doesn't want to install it either on the /vpk folder or the /temp folder. It stays on 0% and just doesn't move from there. Not sure how much time do i have to wait before it goes up to 1%... If i cancel the instalation molecular shell apparently crashes and i can't do anything unless i hard reboot the console/reinstall henkaku again.
