@GreyRogue I am referring to where the Wii will corrupt games saves when using the 1019 card when it works perfectly on the GameCube.
I didn't know that was a thing. I did some googling, and it sounds like a myth to me. It's possible the Wii would run hotter or do something to damage memory cards that the gamecube wouldn't or maybe using slightly different voltage levels or timing signals, but something specific to 1019 cards (including official and third-party) that isn't repeatable (like the games that just don't support them) seems unlikely. From a functional level, all memory cards use the first 5 blocks for formatting and game block allocation, and the only difference for saving into a larger card is the offset used for the various blocks. If there were some bug related to the number of save files (which would mean that you could only get the problematic numbers with a large card), then maybe, but that should be repeatable. Unless official and third party are using the same underlying hardware, where the differences between 1019 and non-1019 are the same, it seems unlikely that only 1019s would have hardware issues.

It seems more likely to me that the 1019 cards aren't as robust as the smaller ones, and they would start to have problems at about the same time whether they were being used on a Gamecube or Wii, but people in general used Wiis later than Gamecubes, so more failures would happen with Wii than Gamecube.

Of course, I'm not familiar with the issue, so I guess I could be wrong. It just doesn't seem likely to me.

When I try to play Smash Bros. Melee with my 1019 card on my Wii it would do the initial save but the next time it tried to save it would say the save is corrupted. When I used the same card on my GameCube I had no issues.

When I used my 251 card I had no issues saving. I haven't tested this using an EmuMC 1019 card with Melee.

Thanks! And "fake" gc controllers ? You know if those work too ?
it depends, i got a fake gameware gc controller that works on wii with gc ports just fine but it doesnt work even trough the official wiiugcadapter on smash 4, so yeah it depends on the fake/3rd party code, official is always safer since perfect compat with everything.

hey guys. weird issue happening with me. currently using wiiu vwii mode with my gcn games on a hdd. i am trying to use my wiiu pro controller. it works without any issue if i load games directly from nintendont, but if i try and load from usb loader it does not work. when i 'turn on' the controller after opening the game my 4 bluetooth lights just all light up (both on the pro controller and the wiimote i use to navigate to usb loader). any ideas why one would work and not the other?

make sure your usb loader doesnt have max pads set to one or native set to on on nintendont forced settings.

not sure what you meant by 'max pads' as i couldn't locate that in the settings but I turned native to off, and it worked like a charm. much appreciated

remenber usbloader have some default settings forced on start up wich arent onn nintendont, i remenber old usbloader gx would always force maxpads to 1 wich means it will only works with 1 controller at a time.

I thought Nintendont was changed to forbid you from turing on Native Mode when using a Wii U unless the other loader can override that setting.

hey. i was wondering if it's possible to extend the config to contain wiimote settings (the whole controller profile thing rly gets on my nerves).
as i'm not very good at coding and can't make sense of all the nintendont code, what i want to know is if the system uses the memory in those regions in any way?

I love Nintendont.......I used Devolution more in the beginning because it was very stable and I had a full library to rip and use with it.......but since its improvement Nintendont is easily the launcher of choice.

Ok so I know this is a stupid question, but now that WiiU is hacked will we ever get a Nintendont that supports the gamepad as a controller? Nintendo are just idiots for never releasing GC VC. The games look just awesome on the small screen and I want so badly to just be able to pick the thing up and play.

I know some are working on hacking the vWii launch wrapper that supports gamepad (from games like xeno and pandora) so asking the experts here (you know who you are) will we ever get Nintendont fully operational on our gamepads?
