Hi,

i am using vWii Mode of Wii U and i have a lot of problems with usbloader gx (r1262) and cfg usbloader (cfg70r78.11).

usbloader gx:
detects usb sticks only with ios251 (don't know if this is normal)
usb2.0 stick seems to work. (tried fat32 settings from the definitive vwii hacking thread)
usb3.0 stick leads to complete freeze of the wii u ( can't even power off while holding the button, i have to pull the power cable)

cfg usbloader doesn't even detect any of my usb sticks 2.0 and 3.0

i tried with both cios installations.
with beta52 and alt-beta53.

here is my current syscheck (sorry that it is in german but i think it is still understandable)

For USBLoaderGX, set the loader's IOS to 58 instead of 251. Only change "loader's IOS", not the "game's IOS".
It should help, but some sticks are just not compatible at all.

the one you'll find compatible will still have issues, like dumping/installing game from disc to stick. it will freeze.

I don't know CFG Loader enough, sorry.

after setting ios to 58 usbloader gx couldn't detect the usb stick. only ios 251 works.

for cfg usbloader i can't choose ios 58.

there is already a syscheck report in my first post.
i used the exact app that you have linked.

("Keine Patches" means "No Patches" and "NAND Zugriff" means "NAND Access")

The Wii U power on usb is very low and finicky, on usb HDDs you can use a y cable to supplement. Not sure you can do anything for a USB stick though.

To test power issues though, you could try using the stick in wii u mode, erase/format it via the wii u copy a game to it and try running the game from it. If the wii u complains about not having enough power for the usb device and to try using a y cable. Then the stick is probably using too much power. Which would be weird for a usb stick. But gives you something you can test; if it won't work in wii u mode then it also won't on vwii, same power restrictions.

I wonder if it's power, if a powered usb hub could solve it; Sorry just thinking out loud. I ended up with a powered HDD for my wii u and am loading all vwii stuff over my sd card.
