No, N can't detect who is downloading from freeshop and who is legit. Even if they can, they won't do it because there will be likely false positives.
Can confirm, only crashed once at the final cutscene after last boss. Didn't feel like replaying it so just watched a Youtube video.
they would try it, after all they tried to figure out "hacked wii's" with 4.3 and caused many "unhacked" wii's to be bricked. so yes, they likely would try it. but probably last result.
basically lol. team twiizer's (those behind all wii hax just about) also tried to put in there own anti-piracy detector using their dvdx menu and also ended up bricking good wii's xD good thing theyres bootmii lol
Yup, happened with the 4.2 update. They tried to update boot2 so people can't launch the homebrew channel anymore.
However, that also bricked most not hacked wiis because it wasn't able to boot anymore.
however the new boot2 was flawed and often caused problems with the system. (its like the wii was the windows 10 of its day lol. updates bricking good systems... then again windows 7 also had a problem with licensing keys so eh
.)
xD they opened up a bug bounty and they already know about 3dbrew so expect more stability to enhance the user experience xD
Not only that they bricked consoles... they also said this:
"the cost of repairs will have to come out of the consumers pocket"
