So, I went back from 121 games to 120 games and now I get no c8 error when shutting down. Issue was with 121 games and all small images deleted if I would have a screenshot of a game on the screen either the floating one or one actually saved then when shutting down it would give a c8, but if I didn't have it showing on screen it worked fine. However now with 120 games and all of the small images deleted I can add 4 save states and have a floating one showing and I get no c8.

Would love if someone could test to see if that happens across the board.

I had the exact same c8 issue only at shutdown, push power and then it would shut down properly. Even with 120 games I would still get the error once I added a few save games, so the answer is back down to 115 or so and u won't have the issue and can have a few saves too

That really isn't the answer though because at 120 and even 121 I could still have plenty of saves.

Hi @Cluster . I ask you again:

There's something you can do to erase lost/abandoned savestates in order to release more RAM? It would be great doing this without hard reset... or that's impossible?

Thanks!

Having abandoned save states don't use up any RAM... (They do take up some disc space but we aren't currently running into any disc space issues)

I'm asking this because savestates from erased ROMs stay on RAM... If you reload a erased ROM the savestates will appear again.

I'm not trying to be rude... lost/abandoned save states NEVER get loaded into ram when lost/abandoned... (The won't be randomly accessed by the system) You are correct they aren't deleted from the system and if you load that ROM again the save will be there and then will be used and loaded into RAM.

That's what I'm talking about. :-) Maybe "RAM" was an incorrect term... Anyway, savestates remains somewhere on memory system, space which could be used by other ROMs.

And relax, you're not being rude. :-)

Hi guys,

Apologies if this question was asked in the 70+ pages already. I have the Version 1 of Hakchi and I had a couple questions before upgrading to Hakchi Version 2.09.

First, with one of my own added games I've played it for about 6 hours. If I upgrade to Version 2.09, will it erase all my save data / save states? If so, is there any way to back-up or retain the save state?

Second question, with Version 1, the max amount of games was around 95, but you could only have about 5 save states before getting the C8 error. I briefly saw people talking about 120 games now. Did Version 2.09 increase the number of games?

Thanks for your help!
