Do we really need a new Mario Kart? The physics and gameplay are pretty much nailed down, just it needs an improved battle mode which we are getting. There will be some brand new tracks, and we might even be able to get the entire back catalog of tracks through DLC.
I think all they need to do is make sure that every console generation has a version of the game. Ideally Nintendo should have a procedure so they can have a Mario Kart and a Smash Bros at console launch every time.

In Japanese Shi(4) sounds like death and Ku(9) like agony.
I suppose that's the reason hospitals don't have a rooms 4 or 9.
Both are bad luck numbers. (and both have alternative pronunciation because nobody likes them)

I belived that is because, if I'm not mistaken, GOTYs are pretty much the base game plus all dlc, and "remasters" are the same game just prettier.
So, if you bought the dlc or played it on PS3 instead of PS4, heh, you still got the same game as the others.
People are pissed at MK8dx 'cause this new stuff, if I'm not mistaken again, won't be added as dlc for the Wii U version, since that console's pretty much dead.
T.L.D.R: MK8 on Wii U was a waste of money.

We need a new F-zero, too bad Nintendo pulled a douche move and told Criterion Games not to focus on that for the Wii U.

Think I'll try to sell my MK8 WiiU copy and then that'll cover half of the cost of MK8, at least this way I'll get to own the game and all of its DLC content on physical media. Still going to wait until March or later to see if there's a price drop. The price it's going for now is just unreasonable for a re-release.
I won't be paying to play online but I'll complete every offline challenge there is.

47.99 (I assume it's either GBP or EUR) is not a bad price? Wow. It's clearly and definitely overpriced but some people are willing to go for it as it's 'cheap' or they've never played Mario Kart 8.
Crazy talk. Every Nintendo console needs its own Mario Kart and Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, as the name indicates is nothing more than re-release of Mario Kart 8. Just because they're doing Mario Kart it doesn't mean they can't do F-Zero.

Disagree. I played the game since its launch till Christmas 2016 but now I'm done with it and with the WiiU as I don't even have it out anymore. Had it not been for the free online play on WiiU then Mario Kart 8 for me wouldn't have lasted so long in terms of replayability.

$47.99 USD is the Amazon Prime pre-order price (20% discount). Looking at eBay recent closed auctions it looks like I can net about $30 for MK8 so $18 upgrade price isn't to bad.
The only problem is when you already have bought MK8, all the DLCs, a Wii U, and sometimes get the feeling to put them all together and ignite them near to the Kyoto Nintendo offices in hope they catch fire.

Wohoo! I've just pre-ordered Mario Kart 8: Deluxe for its actual proper RRP, okay, it's not that big of a deal but way better than £50/£60 and in Euros too.
It's like going to a restaurant (a real one not fast-food crap) and be pleased with the meal.
I know how you feel. I'm going to sell my Mario Kart 8 WiiU copy as I'll be getting the Switch version and with that, all the paid DLC is going to be pointless and a waste of space. You know what's the good thing about it? It kept me glued to the WiiU for as long as Christmas 2016 otherwise my WiiU would have been a dust collector and nothing less.
It's like going to a restaurant (a real one not fast-food crap) and be pleased with the meal.
