You need to create a folder on the root of your SD card with the title ID and put the D8res file in there. Then take the other file from the zip with the title ID and put it in SD/Plugins
Then just play the Japanese version? It would be easier to just swap the text with the Western version vs undubbing everything. Work smarter, not harder.
Not if you just rip the files and replace them, exactly how it's done with the music. I think the voices would be just as difficult. There is already an undub cia floating around so it's half done for you Lol
No, it's a half-undub. It has the orchestrated music from the Japanese release to replace the crappy midi versions we got but English voices.
Hi! I managed to get a digital copy of DQ8 and I wanted to rip some of the game models for editing purposes. As this fantastic project showed me that it's possible, can anyone here recommend a good tutorial to do so? I'm new to this and I don't really know how to start ripping the data inside my SD card.
I hope someone makes a CIA with all your hard work. I'm lazy
Considering Asia81 uploading a CIA of the DQVII undub and orchestra restoration on "that chaos site," I'm sure (s)he or someone else will do it for this, as well.

For the restoration, I don't know what to patch because I don't know what is censored, so...
