Nintendo is falling down. They dropped the VR race who will be the next step in the game entretainment. They had put theyr coins in a tablet and a great part of clients are children. And children love to break tablets. Some interesting games will be released then the salles will drop and when then realize the mistake will be too late. Nintendo will be the new sega making games to sony and microsoft.
The dream is over.
But did anybody really think they would do VR? Not even Microsoft is into that stuff

I believe if Iwata was still alive he'd make sure that the Switch would have a launch Super Mario Bros. game and a sequel to Nintendo Land which for a tech-demo compilation, it was pretty damn good! The Zelda game on the Nintendo Land compilation was tons of fun.

Kishimoto (think it's how it's spelled) is making Nintendo moving forward but not necessarily in a good way either when you consider the lackluster launch titles of the Switch... :(

The Splatoon 2 release date was reportedly listed on UK retailer Game.co.uk as set for August 18 on the Nintendo Switch.

This would fit with the Summer slot already confirmed by Nintendo, although it's unclear if this might just be a placeholder date.

And while the GAME still lists the Splatoon 2 launch for August 18, it also says they're "just 212 days to go".

Also, the Mario kart is just Mario kart 8 and the graphics are same its just a port with more tracks and battle mode, not a brand new Mario kart.

I don't buy the justification that the PS4 sold without a great launch lineup. Confidence in Nintendo is at an all time low. At least with the PS4 you have the promise that devs will support it with almost all multiplat releases in the future because it has solid hardware with no hard-to-program gimmicks. The Wii U flopped so horribly in that area that people have no confidence that Nintendo will get any third party support. Usually you might say "they don't need it", but with a launch title list this short, there's no reason to buy this thing. Yes, the Wii had a bad launch too, but at least it came with a free game, Wii Sports, that was actually pretty damn cool. Statistically, there were many people who bought Wiis and *only* played Wii Sports. The Wii U had no equivalent at launch and peetered out. The Gamecube and N64 also had shoddy launch lineups. Yes, good games came out later, but those two consoles were mostly unsuccessful in terms of sales. Other than the fluke that was Wii Sports, Nintendo consoles have usually relied on their launch lineups to drive sales. The Nintendo DS, an extremely successful handheld, had a few key games in the launch lineup which led it to an extremely successful launch.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Another thing I forgot to mention; the titles coming out on release day aren't the only factor to a successful launch. It has to be followed up with a good set of games for the next year at the very least. But the Switch will have little to no momentum. Splatoon 2 comes out some vague time in the summer, which is kind of meh because it's pretty much a remastered Splatoon DLC. The game is too new to have a sequel anyway. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is literally just slapping a three year old game with a new battle mode onto the new console for no reason. The only thing of interest coming out anytime soon is Mario Odyssey which won't be out until next Christmas. That's a damn long time.

As someone who owns an xbox, 360, one, ps3, ps4, wii, wiiu, as well as a decent pc. I wouldnt say that the launch line up is necessarily bad, but probably just a bit too small.

I still preordered the switch along with zelda. Yes I could just yoho and a bottle of rum zelda on my wiiu, but I wanted to get it on the switch for at least a good game to play.
I feel that 1-2switch shouldve been a pack in. If I had the extra cash I would have gotten bomberman as well as skylanders(even though I have it on my 360 and wiiu)

Just dance is just meh.

You know what a gaming system needs? Games. One good game just isn't enough, it'll end up being a dust collector like the WiiU was.
So very true.
But to tell the truth it has happen to every system i have gotta at launch. The release games are one or two i like. Then i play those till beaten and wait months for something good to come out.

I really want a new Super Mario Galaxy...
ME too, me too. This is the type of mario i like to play. The mario odyssey should do a replacement tho.

Can anyone explain why Splatoon 2 and MK8DE are not being released on Wii U?
As others have said to sell more switches. Also the wii u is not being made anymore so when that happens everyone normally stops suppose for it.

Source on those "new tracks"?
No no tracks. Its suppose to just be battle mode added with its levels and all the DLC from the wii u game.

Right on. I own pretty much all system and gotten them at launch and the line ups arent all that. Maybe a game or two i like then stuck waiting months for something good to come out.
Hell even now most people are waiting for good game to come out. On the other systems.

And that's the moronic thing about it. There's only just about one game worth getting at launch so it goes against selling more Switches. No one's interested in eating a bun without a burger.
