Thank you! I found my way there after nesito's last post. I won't be able to try it out until later, but I have the patch, the PRG0 Zelda ROM, and the beat program downloaded...so I should have everything I need to get it working. (Hopefully!)
Yes, you have all the tools to make a amazing great game. ;)

This model i verified has the option to reset if you add a button to 2 pins internally and they are fairly cheap blog>post about it https://goo.gl/HklXBg

Good idea, but this won't be needed with cluster releasing the update and 8bitdo's new NES mini wireless controller doing it also

Okej so nobody can help me? I've been searching the net without finding any help. My nes has strange colors to the games. They look washed out. I don't know if it's this hack that made them like that or not. I never played the nes mini before because I got it two days ago and wanted to use this hack immediately before trying it out. I have some pics to show.

I tried changing HDMI cable but that didn't work, I tried options on the nes mini but that didn't help as well. If you compare ninja Gaiden pictures that I've posted over this picture here that I took from Google, you can see the difference

Have a look, http://m.ign.com/images/game/6038/4fa6ca4fcdc388ed13eefa7c

Hoping someone that has experienced the same issues as me can help!!
First, I am familiar with modding / flashing - fairly technical etc..

have tried ver. 2.07, and 2.08 with no luck.

Can get USB drivers installed without any issues.

When I am in hackchi2, attempting to add one or two roms (just to test) when I click the flash button, I am experiencing an issue..

in ver 2.07, the popup appears with connection instructions.. no matter what I do (USB cable, Reset, Power etc) I get nowhere.

in ver. 2.08 upon clicking the flash button, I get no popup and the software sits in a not responding state.

I have tried installing the driver both ways - through the folder as part of the hackchi2 download, and also via Zadig.

For the life of me, I cannot get Hackchi to respond to me connecting and putting the Nes in FEL mod. Have tried on both a Windows 10 laptop, and my WIndows 7 Pro desktop.

Have used 2 different USB cables also (including original that came with the NES)

NES works fine otherwise

HELP!

First of all, keep calm.
Are you read the FAQ from OP in the first page of this topic?
https://gbatemp.net/threads/hakchi2-nes-mini-very-simple-pimp-tool.456256/
You have to click in button "show" to see the FAQ info.
Maybe have problems to disable driver signature verification for the drivers steps, in previous pages Gabriel Mejia put the ways to do in W7 and W10 if I don't remember bad.
EDIT: I remember well click here to check how to disable driver signature verification hakchi2 - NES Mini very simple pimp tool
Also I understand that you enter in FEL mode with mini NES connected to USB of PC and pressing Reset button mantain it press and at the same time power on(the reset button is need to be pushed all the time) and 3-5 seconds later you will hear windows drivers sound and you can release Reset button. Please write here if you cannot know to do this steps.

Sorry for my bad english.

Yes, the NES mini is being recognized and connected to Windows. It is showing in my device manager as connected, and with an eject option in the system tray. I don't believe it's a driver issue. Would it show connected even with the signature verification not disabled?

Before the C8 error, the total number of images the system can load is 242. Each game has a cover, a thumbnail and each save is another screenshot image to the global count.
The 30 default games have 1/2 png more to load screensaver's pixel art (here the list: https://docs.zoho.com/sheet/ropen.do?rid=15oj01959fd45bc3541568725e57d6fb6a3c6).
It would be great - and quicker - to can remove manually the screensaver's pixel images (to save space for more save images), instead of having to remove the games and replace them with external roms. I'd like to take the saves i had on the system before the mod

HELP!

There is a bug which I found and which will be fixed in the next release.
This bug will only allow to detect the NES as long as it is found during the first two attempts while browsing the list of USB devices.
Any further attempt causes the program to freeze and not respond.
A little bit of patience until the next release and your problem will be gone.

The device appears in your device manager only conecting the Mini NES to PC without steps to enter FEL mode?

Zelda - The Legend of Link works. the only problem is the scrolling text when you wait a few seconds at the title screen that explains the story is garbled

2136titlescreen.png

The text intro corruption in legend of link is most likely a mapper used in the hack (mappers stated in the in the hack's readme should all be supported), we would need someone to try a repro cart on an actual nes to compare - I don't think legend of link is not supported by flash carts as it's too large. Might even be worth posting on one of infidelity's threads.

Has anyone tried Super Mario All Stars, another hack by infidelity?

Rgs.

I have yet to patch and load my copy of Legend of Link (will do it later tonight when I am home), but I came across this disclaimer on the download site:

"There is a fast way to learn if the romhack will play perfectly on an emulator you use. Watch the intro after the title screen fades away. There is a golden scroll moving up the screen. If that scroll & text comes up garbage, then you should stop playing unfortunately. This is because the emulator you are using, is not utilizing the MMC5 register $5130 correctly. The romhack perform chr swaps for 3 specific things, the intro, a mini game, and the Ganon fight. If you continue to play the game with the garbaged gfx, it will obviously look bad, and it might even crash."

Does this mean Legend of Link will have issues on the NES Classic because we are seeing the garbled text on the scroll? Has anyone verified one way or the other?

No, it appears only when in FEL mode. I can get it to appear, and get it in FEL mode, but hackchi2 is unresponsive.

Oh man i doesn't play so much but i understand that these are bad news :(

PD: @Mike9911 I think that only can wait for a next update of Hakchi2 to solve your issue.

i read earlier about cluster saying its a possibilty for sure once he compiles the sdl driver which id prefer instead of hardware mod but hardware mod has its uses.. cheap ,you can find them on amazon now and works on hacked or non-hacked nesminis .. these twitfish have a decent length on cable too..but the dpad is tough to use maybe it needs some punchout rounds or 2 to soften it up...

Ok, for all that people out there who want to play Hebereke, i found a way to play it, not a perfect one but acceptable.

Hebereke don't work because its use Mapper69....But the Europe Version of this Game "Ufouria - the Saga" use Mapper 4. both versions of the game, Pal and NTSC, should run with the same speed, only problem... the Pal sound under 60hz runs very fast, but i found an ips patch which patch the Pal game with the NTSC sound. i test it... and now... all looks fine for me on the first look (except the uglier European Titlescreen and ingame GFX ;) LOL)

ips patch can be found here:

Just a thought...

When we connect usb/usb otg adaptor to usb port and dublicate port (1 for power, the other for usb devices e.g sdcard reader usb stick) we can use external memory...
But someone with skills need to programm it also...
