Sysnand CFW, nothing to it, super simple method to get your system in a hacked mode on coldboot. I remember when RedNAND first showed up, and just thinking, nope, I'll wait for something simpler, Sysnand CFW is that solution.

There's only 1 issue with Rednand. People say that you can easly recover from bricks, which is kinda true but not really. Why i say that? Well it is recomended to format your sysnand after setting up rednand so you can unlink them and have the Sysnand 100% secured by literally doing nothing in it, Ok that can be kinda smart... Just for one little detail, You really can't recover from a Rednand Brick unless you set up rednand again (unless you use hard mods but really how many regular users even know what a hard mod is), which is not really that bad really, you just redo the process all over again and everything should be back to normal right? Well no. In order to protect your sysnand from bricks you went ahead and formated your sysnand, unlinking it from your Rednand which means all of your saves, and/or legit games (Unless you never bough any to begin with) Are now gone. You lost them because you wanted to be fancy with SysConfigTool, tried to experiment with some experimental coldboot method, trying to be region free on a system that isn't supposed to be region free, amount other stuff.

Yes, Sysnand CFW all the way until the wiiu is updated then everyone might be changing there minds! Rednand might actually then have a very good use.

Wrong, Wrong, And Wrong.
"Well it is recomended to format your sysnand after setting up rednand" Where? I have never seen anything that definitively proves that you MUST format sysnand or that its better to format it, I haven't formatted my sysnand and am just fine.
"You really can't recover from a Rednand Brick unless you set up rednand again" Wrong. there is a tool by dimok for extracting the dump of your nand from your sd card to your pc allowing you to restore whatever the heck backup you want.
afaik people are complaining about the 32/8 gb storage taken on your sd card, or the price to get a 64/16 gb sd card, but what about the price and headache of getting a new wii u when you brick it?

Its hard to brick the wii u though. Bad icons will only make a ? icon. CBHC is a one time install and your good forever. No brick apps exist (yet). Unless your stupid and fuck around with ftpiiu everywhere your safe just installing games.

So restore your most recent rednand backup.

No brick apps exist (yet) That WE know of. some app or something that people thought was safe on sysnand or rednand or somewhere else will turn out to actually not be and brick some person.
its a safety net that that costs 30$ there really isnt a reason not to.

Nobody that uses a simple downloader like usb helper will ever run into a fake brick program. If its uploaded here then it will be gone in minutes. If its uploaded on a shitty piracy site then who gives a shit?

SysNAND CFW, I feel like there isn't any risk when all you're doing is installing titles and basically playing them. There isn't much you could do to screw yourself up, not unless you messed with FTPiiu everywhere and did something crazy with system files. If you brick, you did something very stupid to deserve it. Even the most simple minded person can use sysNAND cfw.

Yes, Sysnand CFW all the way until the wiiu is updated then everyone might be changing there minds! Rednand might actually then have a very good use.
That will be a very easy transition to RedNAND. Everything will be copied over to rednand once setup. If I had to stay on 5.5.1 to keep exploits, I would definitely have DNS enabled. If it means not being able to play online games then so be it. Until I get a big enough SD.

Exactly, once you got CBHC going, its no different than RedNAND and you can't brick, and its way easier to do and takes up less space. At this point in time there truly is no good reason to use RedNAND over CBHC. (Also I don't even have FTP software anymore, I've found it doesn't work as quickly as just connecting the drive or sd card directly into the computer to do whatever transfer I may want, so if there is a risk in using FTPii, that's something I don't even have to worry about)

ive been using CBHC for a while now after being set straight over not needing mocha and its been a blast. CBHC loads in seconds and I have had literally 0 issues with it. I've never used or even attempted to set up rednand but I can't imagine setting that up and running a nand on your sd card would be better than just using CBHC. For one sd card speeds at least from what I've seen and I have a fast SDXC 128gb card are not as fast as the wii u's onboard storage so loading stuff would take longer. I remember when I used Loadiine before switching to the USB method games took a lot longer to load from the sd card compared to USB or the wii u's onboard storage.
