Gaming Nintendo Switch Launch Lineup is weak (No Mario Kart ? Classic Ninty fail)

The pressure is on for the Switch. If this console bombs, they will never make another "home" console *EVER* again. FWIW, I think the Switch will do fine, nowhere near the WiiU crapshow (that was a failed console by design).

The Switch's launch lineup, as it currently stands, includes these games:

1-2-Switch.
Just Dance 2017.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Skylanders: Imaginators.
Super Bomberman R.

Really ? LOL.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which featured prominently at the recent Switch showcase, isn't coming out until April 28, and even then, Nintendo's still charging £50 for the game (that came out three years ago).

Nintendo just never seems get anything done on time.

- can't get the Switch out for Christmas ? Fail.
- can't get a *REMAKE* of MK8 out for Launch ? Fail.

Nintendo really sucks sometimes. Actually alot of the time.

And to not have MK8 ready when the stakes are this high ? And after promising the launch titles were going to be great ? L. O. L. What were the game developers doing for the last 2 years ? They certainly weren't making games for the WiiU.

Hopefully, for Nintendo's sake, there are other Launch titles that they are going to tell us about in the coming months to "keep the hype up".

I'd preorder for MK8 deluxe. But I'm going to wait

One reason why the games are being released in stages may be that Nintendo can't ramp up cart production to release more than a few games at launch.

First of all, its not a home console its a hybrid console (its more of a portable device than anything)
2nd of all, yes the lineup is... ehhh but was it ever good... with any console...?

If Switch fails then the reasons won't be the late games, i mean it already has around 80 games in development which is good. The top thing why the console sucks for me is the online paid thing which is barebones and the super expensive accessories. Skyrim for 60$? Yeah right lol. Switch isn't a launch system and everything about it is half baked. Maybe i get it sometimes in 2018-2019 when i see the voice chat implemented (which is terrible by the way) and see game devs making games for it. (Doubt it will get multiplat Xbox and PS4 games but ehh, lets hope for something better, i'm not particularly interested in Far Cry and whatsoever but for the majority of gamers that would be great but i feel like they are still in that "its only for fanboys" mentality)

later this year but it's Mario Kart 8 so it shouldn't really be taking them so long.

Well, an awful launch lineup didn't stop the PS4 from selling way too well when it launched back then.

I honestly do not know. A strong launch was never an indicative moment on whether a console life is going to be good or not. It is the constant flow of great games releasing overtime that keeps on enticing the consumers.

People don't understand that the Switch is a portable device that can be hooked up to a tv. If you are comparing to Xbone/Ps4, you should think of it like what a laptop is to a desktop. Same price but for less power but a lot more portability.

I'm not going to defend Nintendo for this crap launch though. They say that there is 3rd party support but I don't see any big titles that aren't first party.

I never implied that the Switch was gonna fail because of it's typical Nintendo branded trash lineup though , lmao.

The 3DS launch wasn't great but at least it had a good variety of games to play whereas the Switch has basically one that's worth getting and that is it. Wii's launch lineup wasn't bad either, it had games that kept people playing different games.
