This is an incredibly amazing combination of the 3D Mario games that have been released and what leaves fans wanting so ever more, is playing it! It should be a launch title but okay, it's worth the wait.

During these months though, I sure hope that the prices decrease a bit in EUR/GBP.

Super Mario Odyssey reminds me of Sonic Adventure and its sequel.

Maybe this is why we never got Sonic Adventure 3.

Funny story, years ago on some gaming website, it was called "GameTalk", I told everyone that I wanted a Mario game that played like the Sonic Adventure games on the Dreamcast and they didn't think it would happen and I told them that I was getting sick and tired of the Mushroom Kingdom and that they to make a game that takes place in the real world. This is actually the first time in almost 25 years that New York has been seen in a Mario game or even referenced. The last time was in the cheesy 1993 live-action Mario film.

The plot of this game will probably be similar to Sonic X and possibly Sonic Boom as well.

if anybody can translate this...

Course clear and garden box search (which can be roughly translated as a sandbox game)

From what I got from the presentation
Course clear is basically your standard mario game, select a course and reach the end. Very little side objectives.
Sandbox on the other hand is about exploring, unlike the first one you don't select a course from a list but instead you must find them by your own by searching around the castle (Mario 64) or Delfino plaza (Mario Sunshine). Each course contains has multiple goals and of course to find them you must explore.

However I don't agree with their list, for example I find more similarities between Mario 64 and Galaxy than Galaxy and 3D land.

I would put Galaxy and Galaxy 2 in between with the first one being closer to a sandbox game and the second one closer to a course clear game .

I must be terrible and the only person to ask this but I'd trade away this game for a Super Mario Sunshine 2. I want it so badly after that cliffhanger at the end of the game.

Where II Piantissimo finds the paint brush on Gelato beach. Maybe he takes it to get revenge on Mario and has to clean up the whole island with him as the main villain.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

We got Sonic Adventure 3.. it was called Sonic Heroes. ;P
Sonic Heroes literally takes place after Sonic Adventure 2 making it the Adventure 3. People need to get over it just because it's not named like a Mario Party series (1, 2, 3, 10)

How was that a funny story?

I know... I was saying Heroes was Adventure 3. And Shadow the Hedgehog is Adventure 4. x.x;
I'm agreeing with you completely. I don't know how Sega can make it anymore clear other than numbering each game in the series like if it were Mario Party. People need to look past the names and get a clue.

Speaking of names I can't get over how Super Smash this gen was named over their respective systems (Wii U, 3DS). Was someone seriously going to buy a 3DS cartridge and wonder why it isn't working on their Wii U? Maybe the manual should of added instructions how to insert it properly into the system too, gotta make sure they don't fuck up right?

Sonic Heroes = Sonic Adventure 3
Shadow The Hedgehog = Sonic Adventure 4
Sonic '06 = Sonic Adventure 5
Sonic Unleashed = Sonic Adventure 6
Sonic Colors = Sonic Adventure 7
Sonic Generations = Sonic Adventure 8
Sonic Lost World = Sonic Adventure 9
Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric = Sonic Adventure 10

So we've had 11 3D Sonic games, so far.

Sonic Advance = Sonic The Hedgehog 4
Sonic Advance 2 = Sonic The Hedgehog 5
Sonic Advance 3 = Sonic The Hedgehog 6
Sonic Rush = Sonic The Hedgehog 7
Sonic Rush Adventure = Sonic The Hedgehog 8
Sonic Colors DS = Sonic The Hedgehog 9
Sonic The Hedgehog 4 (The real one) = Sonic The Hedgehog 10
Sonic Mania = Sonic The Hedgehog 11

So that's 22 mainstream Sonic games; 11 2D Sonic games and 10 3D Sonic games. In actuality, there are actually 16 2D Sonic games; if you add Sonic 1, 2, 3, & K and Sonic CD. So, there are 26 official Sonic games, from the past 26 years.
