I don't think certain people quite understand how this all works and if they don't then they should not be using it cause the next question will be why is my wiiu not booting past the logo!

For anyone wanting to know, booting into systemnand is very different than using Coldboot-CFW & RedNAND fw.imgs, they have more sig patches than systemnand thats why you use them. I don't even think booting into systemnand on boot up menu will give you any sig patches at all, it should just be the same as systemnand as it was before I don't think its patched, tbh I have not tested it myself so I would not know I just presume its the same as booting into systemnand how it originally was.

Edit: sorry my bad, it is apparently from the op>"It offers a basic menu from which you can boot into the system menu which will get full signature and region patching." I'm not sure how he has achieved that I will have to test it. So are we saying then you only need a fw.img on your sd card for RedNAND? On mine I have set the lot up to use CFW-Coldboot img and RedNAND img booting from systemnand from a second ds vc title but it sounds like that is unnecessary.
yes sysnand is sigpatched, the fw img is only needed for rednand now.

Thanks! Everything's working perfect. No more double reloading the Home Menu and using a fw.img :)

Yes, you can uninstall it.
Can you give more details please? Is the uninstaller integrated in the elf? Or do you re-edit system file manually?
Also can coldboot and signature patches work without SD card (for example, I don't need to launch homebrewlauncher, just boot the wiiu and launch my games directly). Thanks.

I was debating with myself about installing this for a while - then I remember the whole ordeal with the early 3DS memchunkhax downgrades, and how it was probably as risky as this. I have no regrets of installing coldboothax. :)
Except the part about moving the icon. I know it's practically unfixable, and no one knows why it would brick the Wii U (if it does at all), but might it be possible to move the icon by uninstalling CBHC, moving the icon, and reinstalling it? If it's simply not possible, I suppose another solution would be to move all the icons to the second page, excluding CBHC... hm.

It's automatic. It's a option inside of the uninstaller. You pick the title it's installed to and press uninstall. I did it earlier with my Wii U.

Uninstaller is within the elf. you have to relaunch it through Home-brew Launcher to uninstall. idk about the SD card thing.

I just moved the icon on my 2nd Wii U and it did not brick. I did not try putting it into a folder tho.

Any way to block updates with coldboothax? It would make sense to fake firmware version on the fly in a non permanent way, it would only run at the same time as sign patches.

You could simply use nnu patcher, there is no other way to spoof firmware version ATM
