yes i know it but the CBHC-cfw its not 100% functional
If you mean about the USB issue, it was alreally fixed on v1.1

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Precisely. And if you cold boot to a sign patched region free sys nand, why do you even want or need rednand?
Safely, also on rednand you don't have access to the CBHC's title, so you cannot mess it.

I just don't get it. All coldboot relies on is the titleID. Moving a title into a folder does not change that. So why exactly can't we move the DS VC into a folder?

Is there a way to put the fw.img on the nand? Wouldn't that be safer (in the long run) than an sd card that may not boot at all? I am seriously asking as I am curious about the possibilities. Is putting it on the nand even possible and could it be accessed once haxchi does its thing? Would it speed up booting a bit? Also, what about keeping a copy of fw.img on the sd as a backup in case of copying a corrupted fw.img to the nand, or formatting system memory. Just a few thoughts and questions.
Thanks!

So I did look at coldboothax the last few days and now have the very first version of it ready using a new haxchi payload - CBHC (ColdBoot HaxChi)!
https://github.com/FIX94/haxchi/releases

Please ONLY INSTALL THIS if you already have the normal Haxchi installed and know that it works perfectly or else you will 100% end up in a dead wiiu, just install it over your existing installation and DO NOT INSTALL IT from a freshly downloaded, never started/tested game or you may brick. Also ONLY INSTALL THIS if the DS VC is BOUGHT ON THAT CONSOLE AND ON NAND.
After installing it you better go ahead and set up some DNS server protection, disable standby, NEVER touch the DS VC you used to install it again, so dont move it around on the home screen or settings or delete it and just generally be smart about it, I am not responsible for your dead wiiu because of user error.

Anyways, enough of that - what can this actually do?
It offers a basic menu from which you can boot into the system menu which will get full signature and region patching, you can boot into the homebrew launcher and into a fw.img on your sd card which could be useful for rednand, also if you want to automatically go to any of these places just enable the autoboot option for it.
The menu controls are very simplistic, up/down to move the cursor and A to either select the option or change the autoboot option, you can control it using the gamepad or any wiimote, classic controller or wiiu pro controller OR if you are really desperate the the "sync" button on the console itself will work too - click once to move the cursor down and double click to simulate what A does normally.
Once autoboot is set up you can easily cancel it by pressing the home/sync button while the "Autobooting..." message is shown to get back into the little menu and go from there.

I believe @Yardape8000 had this very idea

why bother with a fw.img for sysnand at all? the system menu gets signature patched by default and its by far the quickest way to boot up the console too to just use the system menu option...

I'm using coldboot cfw because the default patching doesn't support WUPserver or FTPiiU Everywhere. Also it doesn't reload after exiting System Settings. CBHC still shaves off about 20 second of boot time vs using the old coldboothax method.

Because some dude bricked and said that prior to rebooting for the first time he moved the Haxchi'd title into a folder. His bricking was probably unrelated to moving the title, but I don't blame people for being cautious. However, I don't see how moving it could brick either.

Do you really need to keep entering system settings and use wupserver.

No I do not. Do you really need to have sigpatches automatically applied on boot when you could just launch a Haxchi'd title manually?

yes lol thats the whole point of this to have sigpatched stuff appear on boot without having to enter haxchi and exit again that is a hassle...

i dont get why would anyone no like sigpatches automaticaly patched so we can just in homemenu click any fake signed homebrew app and launch iit without going trough clickling haxch and launch cfw, cant wait for retroarch to amke his own channel on the main menu.

Of course. I agree. I was just being a smartass. It's all about the convenience of not having to perform extra steps. If I want to use FTPiiU Everywhere I don't want to enter settings and then exit to reload the system menu (CFW booter seems to fail if you're already sigpatched) and then run the browser exploit, launch CFW booter, launch HBL, and then launch FTPiiU Everywhere. Likewise if I want to manage storage I don't want to have to power cycle the console or load the CBHC menu.

Yeah I'm always needing system settings and wupserver smartass.

I don't think certain people quite understand how this all works and if they don't then they should not be using it cause the next question will be why is my wiiu not booting past the logo!

For anyone wanting to know, booting into systemnand is very different than using Coldboot-CFW & RedNAND fw.imgs, they have more sig patches than systemnand thats why you use them. I don't even think booting into systemnand on boot up menu will give you any sig patches at all, it should just be the same as systemnand as it was before I don't think its patched, tbh I have not tested it myself so I would not know I just presume its the same as booting into systemnand how it originally was.

Edit: sorry my bad, it is apparently from the op>"It offers a basic menu from which you can boot into the system menu which will get full signature and region patching." I'm not sure how he has achieved that I will have to test it. So are we saying then you only need a fw.img on your sd card for RedNAND? On mine I have set the lot up to use CFW-Coldboot img and RedNAND img booting from systemnand from a second ds vc title but it sounds like that is unnecessary.

You should update the 360 to newest dash before RGHing it yes. But not a big deal if you don't, you can install new dash/avatar updates after. It's just easier to do it auto online before, instead manual offline after.

@BigOnYa I wanted to ask you about your experience with seeing south park. Most of the people a bit younger like my younger brother and cousins that are a few younger than me that saw kids found south park funny because of the curse words, kids at school, that seemed like liking the show on a very basic level.

I could not quite have a in depth discussion of the show.

How was it for you? As an adult. What did you find the most interesting part about it. Did you relate to the parents of the kids and their situations. Was it satires, the commentary on society. The references on celebrities' and pop culture.

South Park is great cause they always touch on relavent issues going on today, and make something funny out of it.

@BigOnYa were you always up to date on the current events and issues of the time or were there issues that you first found out thru south park

Most of the time yea I knew, I watch and read the news regularly, but sometimes the Hollywood BS stuff, like concerning actors slip by me. I don't follow most Hollywood BS (example: the Kardasians)

@BigOnYa there were relevant issues before south park was made, that's why i think a south park prequel/spinoff would be great. Randy and his friends in their child hood

Yea, like them running in high school together, getting into stuff, and how they got hitched and had kids. And how the town of South Park was back then compared to now. That would be cool to see.

    yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@salazarcosplay if they made a prequel, it would still be about current issues, cause it doesn't make sense to make it about stuff that happened 30 years ago that nobody cares about anymore

the older south park episodes about particular issues usually age poorly since the topic is no longer relevant
