If you install this you cannot launch it from system menu or you will brick and if you move it to a folder, USB, or Uninstall the app in system settings you will brick as well.
launching it wont do anything really, it'll boot up like it would on system bootup.

why bother with a fw.img for sysnand at all? the system menu gets signature patched by default and its by far the quickest way to boot up the console too to just use the system menu option...
Will signature patches still clear if you go into system config?

what's this baloney about moving title into a folder will brick? are you suggesting that this will also change the title id? because that is the only thing coldboothax depends on. All that it should do is the same as theme data on the 3ds, just some seperate data used purely by the homemenu and nothing else for layout management

yea, its all temporary after all, so after changing settings its the best idea to just turn off and turn the console back on.
I don't really want to install coldboot hax at this moment, but I'm wondering, how does this compare in loading speed to just the normal haxchi with default=sign_patcher.elf? If it's faster it would be nice to have a "simple" version of haxchi that does nothing more than patch signatures and return to home menu

no it's much slower, it takes about 1 minute 30 seconds to finish since it has to launch haxchi twice unless FIX94 fixed this, then it would be exactly the same

lol wat, it boots in 30 seconds for me, thats just 5 seconds more than my console normally takes to boot. I did put quite some patchwork into this.

so I'm assuming you fixed the double boot bug then, so then yes the boot time is no different, We won't see any improvement in boot time with this implementation of coldboothax, it's identical to quick start just skips 1 step

Not really talking about console boot time, I'm talking about the time that it takes to launch the new haxchi in autoboot system menu mode to return to system menu vs old haxchi using default=sign_patcher.elf

It seems like skipping the extra loading of an .elf would make it slightly faster (1-2 seconds)

just enable autoboot to homemenu will be exact same speed

FIX94, first want to say thnx for your work!
Can you add another one option to first boot menu to boot loadiine manualy or autoboot loadiine.
Or make some config (like in haxchi), where we can add boot options?

@FIX94 thanks for this anyway didn't mean to come off rude about the loading times, just not a fan of coldboothax lol. Also would it be possible to implement the menu for this into just normal haxchi so it would be possible to use this on quickstart without coldboothax?

Oh, so it installed perfectly. No bricks here. Yet.

Though... It seems the Homebrew Launcher Channel doesn't work with this properly when loading through autoboot system menu (black screen)
What's up with that?
