if it reboots and use the installed coldboot, then it worked fine before he moved the game to a folder, which means it was properly installed. something he did after the installation has cause its current situation.

I believe it reloaded the fw.img (red screen on the gamepad stuff) and then it threw me back into the home menu.

Why did you mess with the DS VC install after installing the CBHC when the intructions said "Dont touch it"? It's sucks that you trashed you're console (not nice I know) but you should have been more careful.

Since you are messing with system files without no means of proper recovery, if things go tits up.

Has anybody tried to install haxchi 2.3 without CBHC?
Are there any added benefits as oppose 2.2?

I understand the risks. It's not that big of a deal to me if my system breaks (though it still sucks lol) so I wanted to try a simple thing by just moving it into a folder. I have a computer that I mainly play on.
But I won't argue any "should've would've could've" things for me because I'd rather not.

You could play dumb and try and get a replacement from Nintendo. I bricked a Xbox 360, a few years back and managed to luckly swindle one back from Microsoft.

Damn this brick story sure scares me.

Fun fact: I was really lucky last night when I used my WiiU as a guineapig. I basically had haxchi 2.2 installed already over phantom hourglass, went ahead and tested CHBC before Fix released it. Everything went smoothly, but the wiiu did not reboot. So after it remained stuck in a whitescreen, (forgot to remive my usb before installing, so that may be the reason it happened) I hardrebooted my console. Luckily for me, the coldboothax was properly applied, while haxchi did not overwrite my rom.zip. thanks to the already installed setup, my WiiU was simply autobooting to HBL. If it wasn't from that, I would have been stuck in a bootloop with a ds game launching everytime automatically

That was scary, I tell you :hrth:

red stuff on gamepad? Have you been in sigpatched sysnand or emunand? And why havent you just been in normal sysnand? O.o

I always run the CFW Booter in the homebrew launcher when I'm using the Wii U.

Hey I already did the haxchi method for ds vc and have the homebrew launcher on my nand as a channel. I used haxchi v2.2 am I safe to install the coldboothax? Or do I have to do anything first? I downloaded the haxchi v2.3 from the hb App Store also.

Yeah, while this sounds all well and good, and really cool to install, I dare not install it since I'm not on Haxchi 2.2 yet (never bothered to update it), but I can use Fix94's Haxchi App and update it via the HBL, right? Or do I have to update it via Wupserver? Anyways, besides, I don't have the means to replace it, so, uh, heh. Not sure if I want to try this for a while.

This is nice, but not really designed for people with children. Kids have this nasty tendancy to ignore FIX94's warning about not touching the DS game. They will just have to keep using haxchi in the normal way.

You shouldn't, unless you move it to usb from system settings or delete it.

Can anyone please tell me. How do I change "Autoboot:" to "Enabled" instead of "Disabled". I would like to just Autoboot to main menu instead of the cbhc menu also thinking now can it be changed back to "Disabled" if you want to go back to the cbhc menu.

Just unzip the Haxchi folder to your route and the new Haxchi app folder to apps and also do the same with CBHC put the cbhc folder on route and the other in apps. Go to your HBL run Haxchi first and then go back to HBL and run CBHC next, it will install everything over again fresh, make sure you do it all in cfw without usb fitted and double double make sure you have your VC title in system memory not usb and test to see it works before doing this!
