Thank you again, one last question I promise :)
Do I need the wii remote in order to navigate in the vwii side or it can be done also with the gamepad?
I am sorry if it's a stupid question but I have never use vwii.

Update: oh I didn't know I have to do a lot stuff after, I was just reading:
d2x cIOS Installer
IOS 236 Installer
Dump your vWii keys with XYZZY
Dump your vWii NAND
Dump your vWii IOS

I can't do all those stuff, my skills not that great. I guess I better hold till I learn all stuff!
Anyways you really help a lot!
Thank you!

Yes, you need a Wii remote. It might need to be a non Wii motion plus remote for some of the steps. I can't remember for sure. You can skip all the dumping steps. You won't brick the vWii. If you just follow the guide you'll be fine. It's not as hard as it sounds.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm having an issue and I'm a bit worried.

I installed Wuphax from the HB App Store today and it installed correctly. Then I ran it, made sure nothing was connected on the USB ports, and pressed A.

It's been stuck on "Doing IOSU Exploit..." for around half an hour. I don't know if I messed up somewhere, if I missed a prerequisite (afaik there were none) or if it's just supposed to take this long, but I'm scared.

Please reply as quickly as possible, I don't want to shut down the Wii U or touch anything until I know where I'm standing. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: The TV was turned off, I was just using the Gamepad. When I turned the TV on I saw the screen looked broken, like there's this static-like horizontal band on top.

Not sure why it failed. The whole process only takes a couple of seconds. Hard power the console down if possible (hold power button on console for five seconds) if hard power down doesn't work (it probably wont) then pull the plug. You'll be fine. It's not going to brick or anything. Then try again. Hopefully it works this time.

Thanks for the quick reply! It worked thankfully. The broken horizontal bar on the screen was still there but the process was completed successfully.

Thank you!

So I just did it, installed the homebrew channel. But when I go back to Wii U mode and try to go back to the Wii U homebrew launcher via the browser, I just get a white screen.

Edit: Nvm, for some reason unplugging the system and trying again fixed it.

if i understand it this wii u app patches the vwii mii channel so you can use it to install the HBC, right?

then what if someone bricked their vwii by messing with ios 80, couldn't a wii u app be made similar to this one to restore ios 80?

Maybe this will help someone. I was trying to install this having never used the vWii at all before on my Wii U.

I installed wuphax and I was getting stuck at the health and safety warning screen with no prompt to hit A to progress. The error persisted even when wuphax was uninstalled. I tired transferring the 0000001f.app file off my wii u and it transferred to my pc with a smaller file size then the original. I transferred it back to the wii u overwriting the old file. This allowed the vWii to get to the system menu but anytime I tired to run anything it would crash to a "The system files are corrupted" error message.

It seems as though my vWii system menu was broken somehow. I was able to fix it by downloading and decrypting the vWii Title ID 0000000700000002 v609 system menu files (v610 for EUR) with NUS Downloader 1.9 with a vWii common key key.bin file (make your own bin file with a hex editor) in the NUS Downloader folder. I then transferred the decrypted 0000001f.app (00000022.app for EUR) with ftpiiu everywhere overwriting the 0000001f.app file in the /slccmpt01/title/00000001/00000002/content/ folder on the wii u.

All is well now. The vWii is working completely fine after using wuphax and installing homebrew launcher, d2x cIOS, etc.

I personally have the original disc of Mario Kart Wii but just out of curiousity my question was if there is any way to play Custom tracks on the vWii without the original disc of Mario Kart Wii? I knew it was possible on the old Wii but dont know if its possible on the Wii U. If anyone could tell me. Thanks!

So I just managed to delete the backup of the mii channel by accident off my SD Card. Is there any other means of recovering it?

So I was wondering if wuphaxx will work on the wiiU menu as I've all ready done it on viiwii. Why wouldn't it work if so? As I use homebrew channel on the viiwii side and loadiine on the wiiU side and just wanted to get the actual channel on the wiiU menu without paying or using a game

No. Why would it? It's two entirely different things. I've already told you like 3 times now what the score is on this. For the 4th, 5th or 6th time: (can't remember): YOU CAN INSTALL THE HOMEBREW CHANNEL ON YOUR WII U MENU BUT YOU CAN'T LAUNCH IT WITHOUT APPLYING SIGPATCHING!!! Brain training is 7 bucks. Buy it and be done with it, wait and see if there's an alternative or STUFF IT YOU CHEAP INGRATE! I've linked the appropriate thread every time you've asked this same question in this thread which has nothing to do with the homebrew channel on Wii U. I'm reporting you because you refuse to listen. Feel free to report me if you feel abused.

Here's that thread AGAIN FOR THE 4th, 5th, or 900th time:

No. But I will send you a PM.

Edit: I have the Mii Maker from the US region. That might not work.

Hey!

I've got all the correct files in the right places on my SD card (I think) but I'm having problems getting this to work.

I launch the Homebrew menu on my WiiU, click on the wuphax icon, and get taken to the black install screen.

I click "A", and it begins to install and says "Doing IOSU Exploit...Done! FSA could not be opened!"

I've done a Google search for what this "FSA could not be opened!" error is, but can't find any links explaining what it is. Has anyone else seen this before? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

I cant seem to install Homebrew Launcher.

I injected the Hackmii installer, when i go to vWii and go to the Mii Channel a black screen comes up with 3 lines, the last one being "launching booter" after that i get a black screen and nothing else.

I have the boot.elf in the root of my SD and i don't have any HDD plugged in so i dont know what is the problem. I also tried to restore Mii Channel and try again but still get a black screen after "launching booter".

Many thanks in advance!

@FIX94

I got it figured out now.

I updated my firmware to most recent, then opened the newest Loadiine and it finally installed.

@RedColoredStars, I did read the last sentence in your post by the way. Maybe try changing the privacy settings in your browser to standard if that works.

I've also heard that Chromium-based browsers will stop working with ad-blockers.

Thing is , the videos work fine in the Edge Dev and Canary builds. But whatever the fix they made was, has never been pushed to Beta or Stable builds. Its been that way for as far back as I tested. Which was Edge 84. They are on 125 now.

@RedColoredStars, Yeah, and I was in quite a mood at that time. I would consider choosing Firefox or Opera instead, been using Firefox for over 7 years now than Chrome.

Tried contacting Nintendo to see if they can reach out to MS about it. But Nintendo said the videos are working fine. Without enough people saying no, they don't work fine, it will never get fixed.

I have Firefox and used it for many years. But Edge runs noticible faster on my pc at both opening and loading pages.

I don't think Nintendo will know anything about troubleshooting Edge. They mostly do technical support regarding their console family.
