"Step 1: Install QCMA, FileZilla, DB Browser on ur PC. Place the package file in the designated qcma package folder. Default is Documents/PSV Packages"

Which one do I use.. there are 2 of them.. lol.

If you've downloaded any content from PSN on your Vita before now, it's activated. If it's a used one, if it has any installed games when you got it and you haven't done a restore, it's activated. If you've done a full restore and haven't connected to PSN to download something before PSN spoofing went down, you're likely unactivated.

Edit: Same even if you copy act.da

If you don't know either way, I don't believe there's a sure-fire way to check anymore but you can go to Settings-> Playstation Network to see if there's an account associated with the device. Make sure you're in Airplane mode while you do this, otherwise it will just ask you to update.
Even in an unactivated Vita, you will see your psn details and that you're logged in in the settings. Why?

  1. In the initial setup after doing a full system restore, you can still login without it asking for updates.
  2. Or if you restore act.dat, id.dat, system.ireg, etc.

To check if you're activated launch any psp demo you have previously downloaded from PSN before the spoof went down. If your Vita in unactivated a message will prompt that you have to activate your system, preventing you from launching the demo.

I think if you're activated, you can open vitashell to see if you got act.dat file in tm0:npdrm/act.dat, I don't have it because I am unactivated, but I found act.dat elsewhere in my vita and it's 0kb
No. The act.dat is related to if you are logged in. I tested my unactivated vita, full system restore, logged in the initial setup and the act.dat is valid, not null. Then last step is the ps3 trick.

Ok so thats north america and eu.. So now I'm in the ftp part and it wont let me make a pspemu directory.
pspemu should already exist. empty but it should exist. if you dont see it then try upgrading taihenkaku if its not the newer version already. it should enable complete file access now.

"Step 9: Setup the package manager. Use filezilla to transfer the files you downloaded to vs0:/app/NPXS10031 Replace all files." Some files are failing to transfer.. what should I do? Filezilla says "critical file transfer error" actually none of the files transferred successfully.

For some people you might need to run VitaRW.

My Vita is activated, but would it produce a bubble if I don't have a PSP demo? Is it page 1 or 2 for me? I don't have Henkaku yet. Also if I'm able to install Henkaku, would be easy to transfer to a 64 GB memory card?

Use this method to install a PSP demo: http://gbatemp.net/threads/want-to-...no-problem-sort-of.450551/page-3#post-6875510 and it should be fine.

As for "transferring" Henkaku, you just have to reinstall it again by going to the Henkaku website (though note you need to use beta.henkaku.xyz instead of the normal henkaku site so you can use taihen, as it's required for Adrenaline).

Thanks, this worked but now I'm stuck with not getting a bubble after pulling over the edited db :(
Read the edit at the very top of the OP, that method only works under very specific circumstances which most people don't meet.

If you're activated, use the method on page 3 instead.

If you're not activated, you'll need a PS3 to activate your Vita and transfer over a PSP demo.

Maybe if PSN spoofing is fixed, but if someone plans on using a PS3 to activate anyways you might as well just use that to transfer a demo over instead. Quicker, safer, easier. :P

Make sure unsafe homebrew is enabled and you're using the latest Vitashell, otherwise you don't have permission to access certain directories.
