You can boot Nintendont from USB Loader GX from it's own forwarder, it works perferct with HBC 1.1.3

I don't have too much use for HBC nowadays since Retroarch was ported to Wii U, only a small bunch of apps like WiiXplorer, SaveGame GX, BlueMSX, WiiMOD, USB Loader GX. Me thinks that apps with own forwarder don't hang with 1.1.3, that would be a nice workaround.

well it worked fine for me. no brick. i think you just have to make sure you dont mistype or move the ds vc off usb

Or if you're extremely smart, just do it on redNAND and you have no chance in bricking anything

The widescreen fix is in the code and it doesn't care what the title ID is.

Really? The Wii U thought, that the Homebrew Channel was a VC game and then it gets this black bars. This happens with every Title ID which begins with C, E, F, J, L, M, N, P or Q. The old ID was "LULZ" so....
I'm just curious, was there any other issues besides the ID?

The system menu puts on the black bars and then HBC takes them away again. The title ID no longer matters because HBC will force the screen mode to whatever is correct (4:3 or 16:9 depending on system config).

Cool to know. Well, i'll wait for a Priiloader update in the future for this new HBC. If it doesn't happen, i can still use the previous one.

I think it would also gain instant Wii U Pro Controller support when recompiled with the latest devkitpro/libogc versions, but that's a maybe.

Has anyone been able to compile the latest homebrew channel and install it? It seems like a waste since nobody's taking advantage of the 16:9 fix. I guess using the forwarder is fine

Thanks niuss, I finally got what I wanted for a long while. Custom theme on vWii, and the latest Homebrew Channel with no need for a forwarder.
Why doesn't someone update hackmii installer to install Homebrew Channel 1.1.3?

The HBC works in Dolphin, but the apps don't. Always getting black screen, when I try to launch any app.

You need a newer version of Dolphin. The fixes for HBC support were only recently merged.

Hey, i want to compile the Homebrew Channel and send me this error:

I put /make in wiipax directory.
I have Windows 7, 32 Bits an i have installed DevkitPro and zlib, libpng, mxml and freetype (Like sounds in the tutorial: https://github.com/fail0verflow/hbc)

Please help
