No, none of them work. Can only use PS3
I'm getting an issue (with a PS TV) where when i don't have vita update blocker running, I can't connect to my PS3 because of a network error, and when i do have vita update blocker running, the option to connect to my PS3 is grayed out. Do you know how to solve this problem?

I honestly have no idea why it's not working, the only time I've heard of this problem was when the person wasn't using the same account on both PS3 and their Vita. If you're 100% sure you are, maybe try with normal Henkaku running while trying to connect instead of taihen?

I'll give it a shot. I know PS3 and PSTV are on the same account. I reset my PS TV and when doing the initial setup, It asked if i had a PSN account. I clicked yes and entered in the email and password. I then disabled automatic updates. I then went to one of the profiles on the PS3 that has the PSN account that is exactly the same as on the PS TV. Unless i somehow have two accounts tied to the same email, I don't know what i'm doing wrong.

I had a PS3 like 6 years ago that uses a kind of modchip that I ordered online and I flashed it and I was able to hack it following instructions, I still remember that in order for it to be able to run hombrews and backups, I have to press the eject button as soon as I turn it on, then I can run homebrews and backups, is that an old PS3 hack method? Would I be able to use that PS3 to access PSN and make adrenaline possible for me vita?
Thanks

Yes, that's an old PS3 hack that may not be supported at all. You'll likely have to update your PS3, which may mean the modchip will no longer function. You'll have to do a bit of research if you want to keep your modchip functioning.

But, as long as it can access PSN and is updated all the way it'll work.

Thanks for the quick reply, Tom.
I just did a quick research, I've read that the PS3 has been fully hacked and that the PS3 master key had been released a few years ago, doesn't that mean I no longer need the modchip and even if I update the newest firmware, I can still hack it?

The PS3 isn't necessarily "fully hacked" in that you can hack it on any firmware out now. While we have the master key, we can't make any changes to PS3s running official firmware above 3.55. 3.55 is still required to actually install a CFW, no exceptions.

However, if your PS3's modchip allows you to downgrade to 3.55 (or if it's already on 3.55) you can install a 4.80 custom firmware from there.

How do i know if my vita is activated?
If you've downloaded any content from PSN on your Vita before now, it's activated. If it's a used one, if it has any installed games when you got it and you haven't done a restore, it's activated. If you've done a full restore and haven't connected to PSN to download something before PSN spoofing went down, you're likely unactivated.

If you don't know either way, I don't believe there's a sure-fire way to check anymore but you can go to Settings-> Playstation Network to see if there's an account associated with the device. Make sure you're in Airplane mode while you do this, otherwise it will just ask you to update.

Honestly the only way you can brick your Vita with IDU is if you're being an idiot. Don't turn it off when you're transferring files, don't mess with any settings you don't recognize etc. Make sure you're in Airplane mode when you restart into IDU mode, and make sure you have an offline installer for Henkaku/Switchkaku so you can install Henkaku and turn IDU mode off once you're finished.

At that point there's not really a way to know. Try installing Adrenaline using the method on the 3rd page, if it works then you're activated otherwise you're not.

I think if you're activated, you can open vitashell to see if you got act.dat file in tm0:npdrm/act.dat, I don't have it because I am unactivated, but I found act.dat elsewhere in my vita and it's 0kb
