[UPDATE] [TRAILER] Seasons of Heaven, a Nintendo Switch-exclusive indie

64355_gb_news.jpg

Seems like news of the Nintendo Switch are abound today! French gaming news website gameblog.fr released information today about Seasons of Heaven, a third-party coming exclusively to Nintendo's upcoming console.

The website reveals that the french studio AnyArts Productions shared screenshots of their upcoming NS title exclusively with them:

This adventure game, running on Unreal Engine 4, is based off a book of the same name by Nicolas Augusto and features Yann, a young boy diagnosed with Asperger's and his French bulldog Ani. The website reports that you can alternate between the two characters in-game while evolving in a post-apocalyptic world among survivors. Apparently the game will revolve around emotional themes and have some distinct artistic touch.

The website also gives us a rendez-vous next week for an interview with one of the game's developers and a 46 second surprise (I say trailer!).
____________
So if third parties are already announcing their titles for the Switch, should we expect similar announcements in the upcoming weeks?

On another note, knowing French really helped in translating this news piece! Phew! All this time learning the language finally came in handy!

Sounds interesting, but what exactly do you do in this game?
Nothing much revealed at this point but I'm thinking something along the lines of Gone Home or Life is Strange if we're going along the "emotional" path. But it might as well be a visual novel or a rhythm game for all that we know. At this point it's just speculative talks. Better wait for the interview and trailer coming next week...

"Switch will run 1080p60fps"
"Switch is more powerful than PS4Pro"
"The Switch will save Nintendo"
The Switch will be the Sony killer"
I think you see my point here
I can tell the difference between legit and bullshit. From the description it looks like a good title that sounds like something the Switch can handle.

Yes.

Well, no, but the stuff I don't see as shit is usually un-accessible so I grow cynical and cruel to the outside world.

Assuming you were even talking to me

lmao probably going to run at 10 fps while not docked. Can't wait
There's no difference between docked and undocked framerate. All the hardware is in the unit itself, the dock isn't used for anything but charging. Expect the same 30 FPS that all consoles are so fond of.

Docked is at 1080p, undocked is at 720p... Same framerate, its that simple.

@K3Nv2 Snow Day is pretty fun. My only bitch would be the camera controls, when you move around, say down, you have to move the right stick left or right to get camera to turn and get your view, other than that I like it so far.

From what people say pvp isn't even worth it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just been playing offline, and they give you a few bots here n there on your team to help battle. I don't think it's as funny as the other games tho, more battle oriented than humor, which kinda sucks, but I'm still early in it
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, doesnt the game have a campaign mode?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, and co-op, but you can also start a pvp session and battle just with friends. You get special skill cards (powers) the more you play. And higher value cards, but you can only enable so many cards at a time.

If you can find enough for it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Toilet paper is considered the money, you collect and buy stuff with TP, kinda funny. Graphics are def better than the other games tho, I think they used Unity 5 engine.

I bet most people at the time still watched it in black and white
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Many of them did before colour television was common.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Likely because black and white TV was in-expensive.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It certainly wasn't inexpensive it cost the same as a new car back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
How much did a 1965 color TV cost?

For example, a 21-inch (diagonal) GE color television in 1965 had an advertised price of $499, which is equal to $4,724 in today's dollars, according to the federal government's inflation calculator.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@K3Nv2, take into consideration how economy was back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why they listed inflation rates
