Almost done testing all values. From what I understand so far is that any number that is under 65537 won't show the controller screen and instead just shows the regular choose a display option.

If that doesn't work I'd suggest using the meta.xml and frisbiiU.rpx from Xenoblade injected into the games you are testing.
The rpx might be handling additional code to make the CCP interface work properly.

Alright give me a sec.

The controller screen pops up but it still doesn't work sadly.

Mmmmm that's odd.
There are two more things left to try:
  • Copy meta.xml, frisbiiU.rpx and fw.img from Xenoblade into the test games.
  • Do the process in viceversa. Injecting the meta and other files didn't work? Well, time to replace the NFS files in Xenoblade for another game like RE4.

What game are you testing it on?
Resident Evil 4.

The second option sounds really tempting.

You guys are wasting your time with RPXs and fw.img and all that. IIRC they're exactly the same between the VC releases, and all of the actual CCP handling is done by HAI, a completely separate system process.

meta.xml is the only real entry point you're gonna have for the time being.

(A programmer on the IRC channel is extremely close to booting Wii homebrew through OSv1 though, so Nintendon't with gamepad control hype.)

(HYPE!!!)

(What would booting "Wii homebrew through OSv1" do exactly?)

It would theoretically allow using the gamepad to control absolutely everything on the vWii side with CCP support, from Nintendon't to Wii games booted with USB Loader GX or something like that. (Assuming we can get past the IOS reload.)

That would be great! That would mean being able to play games like Mario Kart Arcade GP 2, Super Mario Super Mario Sunshine, or even Mario Kart Wii, directly on the gamepad!

Don't forget WiiMC, and WiiSXR, Not64 too but that'd be if it actually was alive still. :P
This potential milestone will make booting into the Wii Menu almost pointless since we will have Gamepad access to everything vWii had.

WiiSXR and Not64 are kind of useless since we have RetroArch on OSv10 now, though. PSX and N64 emulation is progressing very nicely from what I've read.

Only PPC Dynarec and this is done basically. Only a matter of time. :P
