Hacking Please help me find my fake(?) R4i firmware/kernel/idk

So the other day I found a really old R4i flashcart at home that my brothers and I never got to work. For the last few days I've tried using lots of similar firmwares/kernels (I don't really know the difference between those 2 words) cause I just can't find mine. I've tried everything and it still shows the classic red "menu?" error. This is the info you can see on the card's sticker thing:

"R4i
Revolution for DS
(NDSI/NDSL/NDS)
www.r4i-SDhc.com.HK"

Yes, the site is down. The only thing I could find from there was this http://prntscr.com/dfylx4 but it doesn't work. It's not on RetroGameFan's thread either. I've also tried using DSTT firmware/kernels and some that supposedly work for R4 clones but none of them worked.

I've tried dozens of firmware/kernels these last days but nothing seems to work. I'd really appreciate if some of you guys could help me. Thanks in advance.

use CTRL + F and search by the website you listed. (yes your flashcart is listed there.)

This should let you at least startup and run a few roms, any rom you can't run will require specific patching, etc. This can be done with through the options you already explored through.

Tried it but it didn't work. Expected it since the name of the file was different (mine isn't R4i-II, just R4i).

So your telling me that this isn't the website you listed

Then you should be downloading the other one.

If neither one works, you likely got a fake of a fake. Your options at that point are to get a new clone or do nothing.

It IS the site I listed but if my card's name isn't there it's most likely a fake copy. I think I've tried the R4i-sdhc.com firmware/kernel before but I'll try it again just in case. Btw do I need to use Panasonic SD Formatter to make it work or is this just an old myth? Actually what format do I need? I'm using FAT.

If your microSD is 4GB or larger, you should be using FAT32. You can reformat the microSD if you want too, it shouldn't matter too much if your trying to boot into the system.

Tried it, tried the ones highlighted in yellow as well and none of them worked. I guess I'll just have to accept that I'll never get this thing to work, rip. Thanks for the help anyway, appreciate it.

That is the downside to trying to get a flashcart with a dead website working. You run the risk of running bust on efforts to get the flashcart up and running.

PS.: I checked the website through the waybackmachine, the landing page shows the website was hacked in 2010. Using the waybackmachine to pull up the site is also a bust.

Yea, also did that and managed to get to the download page but couldn't download shit.

Apparently we have the same r4 Flashcart. But mine is working for some reason... I forgot how to download the firmware/kernel (I don't even know the difference between those two) The only problem about mine is, that there are other ds games that doesn't work on mine for example: "Pokémon Black and White" and some other Dsi Enhanced games that doesn't work...
