Thought this was interesting. Looks like some guy bought a dev kit from a public auction for United Front Games (Closed Studio).

very interesting someone was able to buy a leased sony dev kit in a public auction.
after reading the discussion the kit is going to somebody at assemblergames.com for analysis.
hopefully anybody here at gbatemp with more news later on will update us cheers

Modern dev kits (and probably some older ones as well, especially after certain legal cases) are usually leased and protected with any number of agreements, don't know the specifics here but that it was time locked says much of what you would want to know. As such the liquidation company was either incompetent or not bothered by the law. Their incompetence or bullishness is hopefully our gain though, even if it is ultimately just some fodder for tcrf or unseen64.
