i have sysnand a9lh luma and gateway emunand but loading between them will wrap all my games from what i read it means my sysnand and emunand are linked. Formatting sysnand seems to be the solution but is that safe to do on sysnand and not lose a9lh?

I currently dont have a nnid link linked to my sysnand but do for my emunand. Also will using tinyformat on sysnand do the same thing so i dont have nnid issues on my emunand or will a format without my sd out work fine?

Though if you plan on using both Luma and Gateway you probably need to choose to live your life either on sysNAND or on emuNAND instead of living a Luma life on sysNAND and a Gateway life on emuNAND. If you never use GBA VC or DS games or DSiWare, I recommend using the emuNAND as your main NAND so that Gateway autoboots without complaining. Just go to Luma's settings and tell it to boot to emuNAND by default. Otherwise, if you only use your Gateway once a month but use GBA VC everyday, live your life on sysNAND by removing your emuNAND.

yeah im almost always on the gateway emunand, but i got a9lh for easier booting, but i do sometime play four swords on my sysnand is why i have luma there.

It's safe

Safe as in sysnand format without sd card in or tiny?

Also how do i do set that with gateway. when i select emunand there is no dragon logo and in settings it just lists it as emunand and not gw3d. i use a loader to get it to load gateway by holding up on my 3ds but sometimes forgeting to right away and then it boots sysnand and my gateway emunand wraps the games.

Well then indeed, none of what I suggested would be a great solution for you but formatting your sysNAND now would make you lose your four swords save. You need to get a backup of it before formatting, then restore it. No idea how it's done (well I have that bookmarked on another PC I think but I can't access it right now...).

yeah i can back up saves easily enough so thats not an issue. so otherwise should i tinyformat synand or format it normally with no sd?
