dont get your hopes up we both including other tempers havent been unbanned why would nintendo unban a few that would cause a shitstorm. unless we have proof from a renowned source dont buy into it

I'm currently playing Moon downloaded from the freeshop (after release) and wondering if there is any way I could get banned still? I don't have any hacked pokemon or any of that nonsense.

It should be pointed out that (as far as I'm aware) bans went out in two separate waves: the first prior to the game's actual release, and the second the day after. As far as I know, people in both bans waves were taking part in the same activities (GTS, Wonder Trade, etc.), so it does beg the question of what caused people to get banned in the first wave as opposed to the second.
I got banned in the second wave. This would be my first offense -- only the third game I've played a pirated copy of, and with a fairly sizable sum of money spent on the eShop. Not unbanned as yet, but with people saying that first offenders have historically only gotten temporary bans, I'm keeping my eye out. If after 30 days I'm still banned I plan to make a phone call and ask them if they really don't want any of my money anymore over an admittedly dumb but minor trespass (I even bought the damned game, once I could afford it -- as I'd planned all along). Might not do any good but I'll have said my piece, anyway.

Well a before and after picture would be great, as I and everyone else here still cannot access eShop. Posting a link to where you claim all the others are confirming would lend you at least some credibility. Neverminding the possibility that people want to try before they buy, want to play during the launch rush but maybe can't afford a copy just yet, etc. etc., the pirated copy was available well in advance of a legitimate one for the vast majority of people, and it's not hard to imagine some people who had even already preordered might just be that impatient. Not everybody who pirates is a full-on leech.
Most of the ones who helped make this thread like me actually pre ordered sun, moon, or both. we were just very eager to play it while we had the chance. And made the shitty mistake of playing it online to early
