you also could use Combine Files option in Files menu of Total Commander, select first part only and at the end cancel the requester asking for next part.

Copy /b *.wud c:\wudumper\game.wud
that's combining files in alphabetic order? then that's a better and shorter command
Alphabetic would be bad in wudump's case because the sequence suffix isn't two digits, and the command processor doesn't use natural language sorting, so you'd get 1,10,11,12,2,3,4...
For what I know in this way Windows combines files in chronological order.
And the USB files don't seem to be time stamped properly, so (at least if USB was used for the destination) it doesn't work anyway.

Well i dumped my copy of bo2, combined the files and then used DiscU to extract the needed files to use with wup installer, but when i went to install it, it gave me an error. Not sure what i did wrong, but all the needed files are on the install folder (title cert, etc).

There are some files that are 0kb and 1kb in size, do i need to delete them, or did DiscU extracted the files wrong?

Worked fine for me with guitar hero & lego dimensions. Dont think you should have any 0k files. Sounds like something is wrong.

So if i understand correctly, now we can dump wuds from any disk?

Yes.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

that's what i was thinking too, maybe i should try to extract the game again with DiscU

You sure it dumped fully. Can take 90mins+

My wii shut down first time cos of energy saving after 1h, lol. Doh! Soon tuned that bad boy off. So first time round I had an incomplete dump. just re-did it.

Yeah it dumped the full thing. The combined wud size is about 24gb so i think there is no problem with it. The problem could have been an error with discU

Hmm now DiscU doesnt want to work. It errors out every time i open it with a command prompt

Just to get things straight.
I dumped the game (Lego Dimensions) into those files.
I joined them into 1 game.wud
I ran "discu.exe game.key game.wud c"
It make 3 dirs.
I add the first 2 together, even that they are different names?
The system (the 3rd dir) has 2 keys, 02 and 03. I've tried and it says 03 is corrupt so I use 02.

I put the keys and all the files from the other 2 dirs into 1 dir.
I install it like any other WiiU game to USB using WUDInstaller.
I enjoy?

Just to confirm, its safe to add those 2 dirs together? 1 is the complete game, whats the other one? its only got 3 files in it
00000000.app
00000001.app
00000001.h3
Are these files needed? Are they system files?

I just want to make sure they wont brick the system being forced installed using WUDInstaller on a newer firmware.
The game says its firmware 5.3.2 but My WiiU is on 5.5.1

Just want to make sure so I dont brick.
If its all good I'll go ahead and install then rip and install, rip and install, rip and install, etc...

you need the title.tik located in /02/ folder.
I think 03 is the update stored on the disc (to update the WiiU offline)

don't merge files, or you will mess your game content.
keep only the game folder and put the title.tik inside.

Not sure where it went bad but it installs 125mb, (1%) then fails saying its a bad SD card. But the SD card is fine, it installs other games before and after this.
Just tried again, new extraction from WUD, copied all files from both dirs, copies key from 02 and still 215mb fails. Error 0xFFFFF825

The first post says to merge the 2 folders. I've tried 3 times now with and without merging those folders and it always fails at 125mb which is 1%
I get no errors anywhere else, just wud installer. Extracting, installing is all working fine.
I'll try to rip it again tomorrow to a USB drive instead of SD card and see if thats any better.

if the /02/ folder contains the other "title.xxx" (tmd, cert, tik?) then yes, you'll need them too.
if it contains some "xxxxxxxx.app" then don't merge them.

There are 3 dirs.
The main game dir. GM0005000010195D00
The other dir with those 3 files. GM0005001010060000
The 3rd dir with 2 key folders 02 and 03. SYSTEM

EDIT: Do I need those 3 files from the 2nd dir?
I found out the hash is wrong from the WUD so ripping it again.
I guess it corrupted somewhere. Everything works, files extract, just fails to install.
Maybe the corruption is making the 2nd dir???
I'll find out in about 2 hours when it finishes ripping again.

No, you do not need anything from second directory nor 03 folder.

Does this tool create the same sort of dumps that have been "scene released"?
It makes them better. Lately the scene releases have been those CFW rednand releases. These make the good original ones where you dont need a CFW to run them. :)

I think whoever is in charge of uTikDownloadHelper should start adding proper working releases to the apps list instead of rednand releases.
