No sarcasm in my last post. Just genuine frustration toward Nintendo. My question is genuine too. If the top part of 3DS is touch enable, a mod to make use of it would be cool, to compensate for the lack of 3D mode.

we can still call it dual ips , sure i got 1 huge screen , but its separated in two.
Do you mind if I ask the inside cardboard box is (1) side slide in/out able or (2)you have to remove the whole cardboard box before you're able to take out the 3DS console.
Mine is the latter: you have to take the whole cardboard box out before you can get to the 3DS console.
You can hold your 2ds behind a screen door and say it has 1000 "ips" screens.
No, a little plastic bar covering the screen doesn't magically divide it in 2.

I want this edition i still got time to order one i live in europe comes out nov 18 but are these mostly TN or IPS if its tn i wont get one because i own a black dual ips already
The screen itself isn't touch sensitive
It's an overlay they put on top of the screen. Think stickey bit of touch-sensitive film that's pl. It gets its own ribbon cable and everything. In the case of the 2ds, they only put the overlay on the bottom part of that single display.

Got mine today. 11.0 as well. Unfortunately both screens are TN. QW4092, if I'm reporting that correctly.

Found one today brand new sealed never opened, QW1200, Top IPS and bottom TN, impulse bought it for $199. Don't even need it, just adding it to the collection as its at least top IPS which is all that REALLY matters. still using my dual IPS hyrule as my daily.
