Since Konami is one of the many third parties that pledged support to the Nintendo Switch, I've been wondering if a port of MGSV Phantom Pain (and possibly Ground Zeroes) is on the table, or if it's even possible. So the questions:

1) Given the "leaked" specs (and speculation) would it be possible for Switch to run MGSV?

2) If so, how likely is it that we will see a Definitive Edition release?

3) Would you want to see a Switch port?

---

I personally would. I think if it's true that Nintendo is marketing this system more to adults, Metal Gear Solid is a great franchise for that. It doesn't get more complex, depressing and "mature" than MGS, folks.

I think it would be possible, and I think it'd look and run better than PS3/360 versions, but I'm not too savvy with technical stuff so I could really tell.

I also think there's a strong possibility. I mean, wtf is Konami doing nowadays? They're still milking that Metal Gear cow and Switch will simply be another method of doing so. Unless they want to revive Castlevania and Contra, I think it's a very safe bet that we'll see MGS on Switch, especially after 2012's "Snake Eater 3D."

Anyway, what say you?

I wouldn't buy it, because I'd support Konami that way. And you know, fuck Konami. I don't think it would be very likely either to be honest. I just have that feeling.

MGSV runs pretty well even on a somewhat modern toaster let alone Xbox 360/PS3. I'm sure if they put the resources toward it a port could be alright.

Konami hate aside, I've bought every alternate version of a Metal Gear that brings something new to the table from Substance/Subsistence to the HD collection and portable versions on Vita and 3DS. MGSV: The Definitive Experience alone doesn't fit that criteria as it's just a game of the year-like edition with all DLC but if they put it on Switch I'd almost feel obligated to get it.

Too little too late. People who wanted to play it, already did. I don't think I'd bother buying it for the NS.
If it's The Phantom Pain, paired with Ground Zeroes, i'd buy it.
But if it's Survive, then byebye Konami.
So the Definitive Edition.
