I made a simple CTR-mode application that will load .NDS ROMs via @ahezard's nds-bootstrap (still homebrew only).
ROM files go in "sdmc:/nds/" (NOT "sdmc:/_nds/").

Credits: @shutterbug2000 for the file browsing code from 3DeSmuME, and @Apache Thunder for the code that launches DSiWare.

Extract the contents from "for 3DS SD card root" to the 3DS SD card, and then install the CIA files.

Hi, I noticed the original post was in January. Is this project cancelled or is it now possible to play ds games without a flashcart? sorry, but I've been searching over the internet and this is the most recent or active thread I could find.

EDIT: I didn't want to scroll through 140 pages to find out. lol

Thanks for the response! Also I just watched ApacheThunder's video about it ()

Would anyone be willing to test and document NTR games running on TWL speeds? Sort of like a compatibility list.

What effects have been seen so far?
Err sorry, I haven't completely understood the thread recently but I can test quite a few DS games. I can enable the speeds with retail games right? Once I figure out how to do it (or if someone can tell me how) I can test some games.

I think you can, with the forwarders, using a flashcard.

Not sure if it's possible with legit game cards though, but it would probably give the most objective results since we wouldn't be contending with flashcard compatibility on top of game compatibility.

And thanks ^.^

Ah I see I misunderstood. I thought it was possible to enable TWL speeds with official cards. I don't have any flashcarts, so nevermind.
