Yes, the original WUPinstaller could swap SD because it always used the same directory. It will still work that way if you only use /install
It won't with multiple directories, and it never occurred to me that people would want to, because Homebrew and the installer can easily be put on the install SD.
It is not top on the list of things to do

Hi.

I tried to install some backups and always had an error 0xFFFBF442 at 5-10%.

Hard drive changed for a pendrive with same results. I even use 3 different sd cards. No positive results.

Do you know what error 0xFFFBF442 is?

Thanks in advance.

I think your downloads are currupt, check them with jnustool.

This should work fine. I usually keep mine in a similar format.

Sd:/install/[ANY NAME HERE]
Sd:/install/[ANY NAME HERE]
Sd:/install/[ANY NAME HERE]
Sd:/install/[ANY NAME HERE]
and so on, works fine.

First of all thank you for the mod. I had success the first time, was able to install 10 games. Now when I try to do a batch install, it stops installing after the third game and takes me back to the main menu options. Anyone else having the same issue?

@Yardape8000 For some odd reason when installing Xenoblade Chronicles X to my USB storage, it will get to 50% and out of nowhere I'll look at the screen and see that it's back on the main screen asking me to press A or X to install. I tried again later and the same thing happened. I don't understand what it can be. I have enough space, and I'm using WUP installer Y mod 1.1.1. The game downloaded just fine on CDN, and I installed several other games without issues.

Is it a bug in WUP installer?

This means the install failed. You need to watch the error that is displayed before returning to the main screen.
Most likely incomplete WUP files, missing ticket, or you need to reformat your SD card.
Guess I should put the fail error on the main screen. Next update. (Not the 1.2 I just finished.)

Sorry you're right, it was one of the installs that failed

I have two 16 GB SD cards. Could I install a 17 GB game from 2 separate SD cards with this? If so, how would I do this?
If it's not possible, just let me know, I can get a 32GB SD card pretty easily.

No you can not span SD cards for 1 game. I can not modify how the Wii U installs stuff.
You can have a bunch of games on 1 SD, install them and when that is complete, put in another SD card, press Y and install more.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I need to get a microSD card (for a DS flashcart) soon anyway, so I'll just get a 32GB microSD with a physical microSD to SD adapter and use that.

I have a 32GB model Wii U, do you think a 120GB USB 2.0 external hard drive is sufficient to hold a lot of physical to digital games? I'm using a 2TB USB 2.0 external drive (it runs off of external power) in my Wii U right now to install stuff with this wupinstaller mod, but I'm planning on using that drive for my Wii/vWii in the future. Would a 120GB drive (with a USB 2.0 Y Cable) be sufficient? Or would an 80GB USB 2.0 drive be better? I'm not planning on installing a ton of games, but I only have about 20GB left on my system memory right now.

I think you have an error in your error_code detection :

Code:
else if ((installError && 0xFFFF0000) == 0xFFFB0000)
should be a single &, not &&

Thanks for updating and adding new features.

Thanks @Yardape8000 for fixing in v1.2 fantastic work buddy! I've actually now gone out and bought a 2tb WD My Book & Y Cable I thought of spending a bit of money on the proper tools might go down a bit better instead of me complaining all the time with the sd/usb adapter way ;)
