Wait, you are on 11.0 sysNAND with menuhax for homebrew access? Did I understand it correctly?

If so correct, you cannot do this without a hardmod or an already hacked 3DS. BUT there is an exploit that may be released soon that will allow you to do this without any hardware modifications (soldering).

If you want to wait simply make sure it is not updated! Hopefully will be released soon, you can read about it here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/and-super-secret-arm11-9-3ds-11-exploit-has-been-patched.446324/

In meantime stick to the firmware it's on and use ctrhttpwn to use online services.

Alternatively you could pay someone to mod it for you via hardmod / dsiwarehax (hardmod is prob $60 - $80), it's a small price to pay for peace of mind and full control of console such as unsinged apps, freeshop, etc... Here is a thread of really good harmodders by region: https://gbatemp.net/threads/list-of-hardmod-installers-by-region.414224/

so, i have a n3ds xl with the latest luma3ds installed and using a9lh on sysnand working just fine, then i open the homebrew launcher loader and it said something about using zip3dsfx and proceeded to check (or download maybe?) what seemed to be the homebrew apps and launched into homebrew grid launcher. then when i rebooted my 3ds, it only brings me to SafeA9LHInstaller v1.5.2 but i already had it installed. tells me to press select to update a9lh or to shutdown. what happened and what should i do?

Check your SD to see if there is SafeA9LHinstaller.bin in luma payload folder or it replaced actual arm9loaderhax.bin in the root of SD.

SafeA9LHinstaller.bin is in the newly created aurei payload folder. luma payload folder still exists, arm9loaderhax.bin is still in the root of the sd, there's a new folder called "arm9payloads" on the root and probably some other stuff

Why would there be a ancient version of aurei in there? Luma is aurei itself under name change. both of these folders (Aurei and arm9payload) aren't necessary When you already have only luma and A9LH, so delete these newly created folders.

did Homebrew downloaded these by itself?

yes, homebrew downloaded these by itself, i deleted those 2 folders and reinserted my sd to see if it worked, but still boots into SafeA9LHinstaller

Oh my... then delete these as well, I wonder what caused that to download all these in the first place, how about to boot without a SD card?
no boot without sd card... i would restore my sd card, but i don't have my sd card backup anymore... my arm9loaderhax.bin and .bak still exist though

no matter what i try, it still boots into safe a9lh installer. i'm thinking it has something to do with whatever file tells the system to boot into. do you know which one that is?

The only reason it would boot into Safe A9LH Installer is if you're using the arm9loaderhax.bin file for Safe A9LH Installer.

You need to use the arm9loaderhax.bin file from Luma instead.
