Depends what you are selling. Amazon still delineates between selling things which they also sell and any old item you like ( https://services.amazon.fr/services...rche-pro.html?ref=azfrsoafoo&ld=AZFRSOAFooter ). I also already mentioned amazon is probably not the place to go to sell a broken screen laptop and things like it.
For some things some people would likely not go looking on Amazon and thus not as much traffic. On the other hand Amazon's UI is a bit nicer and I find many people do click and see what each is offering it for lest they get stung by low price, high shipping. If for instance I had a collection of games to sell individually and I did not care how long it took I would probably pick amazon as you can set prices and get some reasonable descriptions going on.
Though I am sure there are people at Amazon and Ebay that want everybody to get along and have a good time I would still say both take some perverse enjoyment from screwing everybody over. Ebay might just have the edge in some regards but neither are great.
Costs. Neither are cheap as these things go, compared to trying to flog them on facebook or forums like this or something, and I can't be bothered to work it all up. They know they are competing with each other though and play it accordingly.

Chances are you want to use ebay unless you are a professional shop or have some time to wait for the limited selection for Amazon free to sell what you have, assuming you want so much real money for it and don't just want to get shot of things.

Both Amazon and Ebay frown upon advertising items like this as hacked/modded, and I don't know the English euphemisms used on it right now, let alone the French ones.

Being as it is a basic/easy enough to do softmod with thousands of exploitable systems out there then the mod would likely not add much to the price but hey. Likewise I don't know how saturated the market is right now, doubtless there will still be someone to pay good money for it but such things are hardly hot ticket items which are rare and hard to come by.

If you have not already then maybe have a look at the selling section here http://gbatemp.net/forums/want-to-sell-wts.159/
What you might lack in refund options you gain in cost (free), ability to define your own rules and more besides.

I prefer Amazon, but will go to eBay when needed.

If I want something right away or something that is new or nice or complicated, I go Amazon.
Examples: computers and components, mass produced specific name brand items, books

If I want something for dirt cheap which is simple enough that it's difficult to make a dud and get away with it, I go eBay.
Examples: HDMI cables, nano-sim adapter, vented pci covers

Though usually I'll try Kijiji first. That's where I bought my gold Hyrule edition N3DSXL and sold my grey N3DSXL
