Hacking Error Code 002-0102

Hi folks!
as i searched online i figured its kind of a ban... well i thought i sohould come here.

Ok so first thing first.
I got 3DS XL (old one) on latest emunand firmware, and sys nand is untouched, old fw, the one that GW3DS supports.
Im using Gateway 3DS card to play games on emunand and cia files installed on emunand via BigBlueMenu as well...
I have NNID, SSB3DS as cia on emunand and as .3ds file (with metal gear header i found online) on sd card.

So i was playing SSB from red card (NOT cia one) fine for quite some time now for a long time, but today, i got wild and downloaded DLC for ssb3ds from that iso site, installed and wow, i have bayonetta, extra things, clud etc, etc, etc... it worked fine till i got online, and than i saw this (see picture below)

So i installed ssb3ds cia, deleted everything ssb related from 3ds settings, and got into cia ssb game, and tried to go online and same thing....

My question is...what should i do guys? :/

Well... The issue there is exactly that you used a header you found online to play your 3DS roms... If you had SSB on CIA why did you use the cart to play it? Playing a 3DS rom without a valid unique header is throwing a flare at Nintendo to ban your console or NNID. You were lucky to be using that public header for so long without being banned.

If you want to play online either go with CIA games or .3DS roms injected with a unique header that you dumped yourself from any other game. Even buying a preowned game might not be good since the previous owner might've dumped its header for his/her own use.

I don't know if there's anyway to unban your console. If not, I think there's really nothing that you can do.

Well i know now... so you dont think DLC has something to do with that, since i played just fine till THAT EXACT momemt??

I have SSB with all DLC installed and never had any issues. There are no ban reports as far as I can tell for using CIA versions of the games and their DLC provided you don't modify your game or cheat.

You were just really lucky to have been playing all this time with a public header.

I don't know anything on how Gateway EmuNAND works, if it's any different at all from the typical EmuNAND, though on that video it seems that he is using a GW EmuNAND as well, so it should work for you. I'd search more on the subject or ask someone more experienced in this matter.

Using this as reference, you were banned because you and someone else using the same header online at the same time. This other person got banned as well. The fact that this happened right after you got the dlc is purely coincidental.

BTW, .cia files don't have headers, hence they don't have this problem

Unfortunately no. I'm not in GBATemp for long enough to know any specific user... Sorry. Best bet is to search the forums and if no success to post on the appropriate section.

The chances are very big as everyone is using the same 2/3 sources of roms at max. So any room with 1000+ players using the same header is almost a insta ban. You were really lucky to have survived this long without a ph. GAteway Emunand is almost the same as regular emunand, just way more outdated.

Technically it isn't outdated... Emunand is just a copy of your systems nand. RedNand is just a trimmed version of an emunand, and some cfws can not run from RedNand (all modern cfws can, excluding gateway)

ok but is that has something to do with this error? im happy with my 3ds as is,, its just i have this error message...

by the way, gw emunan d is basicy on sd card right? it has nothing to do with sysnand? what I mean is if I mess up with my emunand and my sysnand, my sysnand will be untouched.. I mean I won't break my 3ds because I'm messing with emunand which is separate from sysnand. so I guess like in that video I shared I can modify that code so I get unbanned from Nintendo? I mean I'm semi noob, I'm sorry if I got something wrong but thats what my logic said, its just...i wanted to consult you guys first for advices and tips about it...

Your emunand is fine. It just happens to be banned from Ninty's servers. That video you found earlier should help with the error

This happened to me ages ago with my Sky3DS when I was a noob and didn't know about private headers, luckily it was my first time so my console was only banned for 4 weeks. Hopefully yours won't be banned for good!

002-0102 is a ban caused by .3DZ files or Sky3DS with default ROM settings.

.CIA files won't give you any 002-0102.
But GW has incompatibilities on Decrypt9WIP-made .CIA files, while CFW hasn't.

yes, it is .3DZ file. So what should i do, should i wait?

Well i actually knew there is a risk, but i didnt know .CIA wond get banned..if i did i wouldnt use .3DS files

Dont use .3dz files or patch them with a unique header. The other alternative is to set up a CFW or an al9h.
