Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Hey there.
I'm really confused about one thing and it's bootntr. Recently I have updated both Luma3ds for the first time in forever. But the problem is that bootntr isn't working anymore and I have a hard time figuring out why. I have luma3ds, firmware 11.1, CFW. I've been trying to find a solution all day so it would be great to get some help?

I have a really quick question. How would I go about updating my sysNAND when I have A9LH?

Make sure Luma is up to date, then use System Settings to update. You WILL not lose or break anything by using System Settings if you have A9LH.

How to system transfer from a o3ds to a new 3ds, if:
1) The o3ds has a 64gb micro sd card in an adapter I want to use in the New 3ds
2) Said microSd has roughly 20gb in it
3)The N3ds has a 4gb micro sd

Get a bigger SD card for the n3DS, move everything in the n3DS's current SD card over to it, then system transfer. The new card has to be bigger than 20 GB.

Well apparently there's a tutorial on how to transfer for people in my case on Nintendo's France website...weirdly it doesn't give the same explanation as the american one...

hey there. I'm am trying to downgrade my browser and this info says

Boot your 3DS into emuNAND. This is important. We will be later removing the old browser version, and if you do this on your sysNAND, you could potentially break something. Nothing too bad should be possible, past losing your browser (which you can reinstall), and no bricks since the system will function with no browser. However, I will not be responsible if you manage to really break something somehow<<

I was wondering since I'm already on a9lh wouldn't I just start the install of the cia?? I'm fling confused here

Why do you want to downgrade your browser?
You could also just create an emuNAND and downgrade the entire thing if you want to try some exploit or other.

Hello again, just wanted to check some things.

First of all, does ctr-httpwn block cart updates so you can play newer games without updating? If not, is there anything that does?

Secondly, if I were to use a Happy Home Designer cart to update to 9.8.0, would it keep my -22 exploitable browser?

If you update to 9.8 (from 9.2 or less) even with a cartridge, and you're not using a9lh or emuNAND, then you will lose your hax until you downgrade.

Sorry, I should have mentioned I was on 9.5.0-22. I'm just trying to get online without going through the downgrade yet. From what I understand 9.6+ works with ctr-httpwn. Keeping my exploitable browser is a plus, but I suppose anything that's able to be done with ram hacking can be done through homebrew now.

1. I have stock 2.1.0-4E O3DS, can I install arm9loaderhax?
2. Plailect guide section 3.6 -(If you don't have your NAND backup or it doesn't work, follow 9.2.0 ctrtransfer before updating) - is it necessary to do it before update?

Yeah you can update with a cartridge as long as you stay below 9.9. Cartridge updates on 9.9 will install a dummy browser and you'll be stuck with cartridge hax only.

Hey guys, i have N3DSXL I was getting ready to sell, but was wondering how would I delete A9LH from it.
Followed the guide like 2-3 months ago all the way through , if that matters. Thank you.

If you have a pre-A9LH backup, just restore that with either Decrypt9 (no keep-A9LH option) or use Hourglass9 and restore it.

OR

You can just use the latest SafeA9LHinstaller to un-install it (:

Rename the bin file from SafeA9LHinstaller to a key that is not assigned to a payload yet (ie: up_SafeA9LH or down_SafeA9LH) and place it in sdcard/luma/payloads. Upon booting your 3DS, hold the key you assigned it to and it should boot SafeA9LHinstaller and prompt you with a install/update or un-install option.
