Anyone can do this now using the above booter, BUT if you use random fw.img's lying around, that's at your own risk.
I'm a little confused about this. I'd like to try this out just to cure my curiosity, but this has me thinking that even though it's loading from the SD card, that it could still hurt the console. Can someone explain it to me in more depth? All I can really duduce from everything in the top post is that it "could do something bad", no specifics.
Ah, thank you for explaining it. So everything should be fine if I create the fw.img myself?The risk is that some of these fw.img floating around don't have restrictions on modifying system files. Don't modify system files - just dump things and you should be fine.
